Did they wear the same clothes?

Axl started off with a white tshirt that said "Youth for Assasination" or something like that. Then after that he put on hte leather black jacket for a bit, as well as his cutoff sleeves shirt for a couple songs.

Cool!

Did Ron wear the red suit again?

Nope Ron had a new pinstripe-ish shirt with blue jeans on.

Tommy had on a plaid suit with his cherry red bass and Axl, during band intro goes, "The wonderful Tommy Stintson, wearing a two piece plaid number. With his cherry red bass, a true Diner outfit!"

Pittman was on the side of the stage during Ron's Don't Cry solo, and the whole show he was drinking something out of a cup with a big straw sticking out of it. When he plays, I noticed last night he yells "MOTHER FUCKERRRRR" like every three seconds.

Was the "Beautiful" solo played only by Fortus?
Why is that? Did it also happened at the first Vegas show?

Richard Fortus, the phenomenon

« Reply #87 on: September 18, 2006, 12:01:01 PM »

There were less long and boring solos at the Wembley gig than in Paris? good to know it. I thought it was the same evreywhere. lol.
I should have gone to the London show instead, if only I knew... anyway.

yup.

check the Wembley setlist:

01. Welcome? to the jungle?
02. It's so easy
03. Mr. Brownstone
04. Live and let die
05. Robin Solo (God save the queen)
06. Sweet child o' mine
07. Knockin' on heaven's door
08. Jam/ Dizzy Solo
09. The Blues
10. Better
11. Richard and Robin Solo [w/ Beautiful]
12. You Could Be Mine
13. Ron Solo [w/ Dont Cry]
14. Out Ta Get Me
15. Sway (Rolling Stones) [w/ Izzy Stradlin]
16. Sailing (Rod Stewart) [w/ Izzy Stradlin]
17. Back in the USSR (Beatles) [w/ Izzy Stradlin]
18. Think About You [w/ Izzy Stradlin]
19. My Michelle [w/ Sebastian Bach]
20. Patience [w/ Izzy Stradlin]
21. Jam/ November Rain
22. Rocket Queen
23. Nightrain [w/ Izzy Stradlin]
24. I.R.S
25. Paradise City [w/ Izzy Stradlin]

was really really great. no fucking boring solos. The Piano solo was shorter too.
It was way better than Paris... really. More energy, less boring solos.

I hope that next time they come to Paris they will play a better show. It really makes me laugh when they said in the press-release that they considered the paris show as "the best of the Euro Tour". Are they serious?? ?confused
I think many, many people in Paris are not be ready to pay again for that...
I saw much better shows by other bands in Paris. really.
The 4 first songs were great. Then... the show turned-up as a fucking solos mess. Axl was more offstage that night than Liam gallagher in his entire career.

Where were you Saturday night? I was right infront of the stage, a little towards the left side (from the crowd) and everyone around me was singing 'Beautiful' as they played it!

hum it was a great show for me because it was the first time i saw GNR live ... so it wasn't so bad. Too many and too long solos, I agree. But It was a great show way better than the VR gig in Paris.

Wambley was better. but no madagascar :/ and a really small audience.

What a ponsey response.

The people that keep repeating themselves are those that seem to just want to get a reaction - because they know saying that same thing will do it, they keep repeating it.

It must be a sad way to live. Maybe if we ignore, they will go out and find new and wonderful things in the world.  hihi
