I just thought how cool it would be, if at the Hammerstein show, everything is dark. Then a voice demands silence via speakers. When there is silence, Axl walks through the curtain, alone in a spotlight, reaches the microphone, grabs it, holds the tension for a splitsecond and simply says: "Chinese Democracy will be released [exact date.]"

And THEN the curtain lifts and the show starts exactly  in this moment.

maybe, they don't want to get involved when Axl doesn't show up, so they say nothing and caan deny knowing about it?Or maybe they think we pressure them too much.
