I didn't notice a post about this yet, so...

In the new issue of Blender, they chose "Welcome To The Jungle" as the best song about L.A., beating out NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" and Tom Petty's "Free Fallin.'"

Most music mags seem to have no sense (Uncut's list of the top 100 debut albums ring a bell?)...nice to see one gettin' it right.

Just thought I'd share some of GNR's accolades with the gang...

Didn't Rolling Stone have Fergie on the cover recently?  Well, that's quality for ya!

Dude do you ever listen to the song?  Hes talking about his experiences. Axl never lived in NYC.  He got the the title Welcome to the Jungle from a black guy who said it to him while he was hitchhiking in New York but the song is about L.A. and what him and his bandmates did.

Blender has, in my opinion, always been very GNR friendly.  Remember they gave AFD the best "Rawk" album of all time.  Moreover, they were favourable of GNR's return in 2002, giving the MSG show 4 out of 5 stars (if memory serves me correct).  Rollingstone hasn't always been kind, remember the article on Axl's spiritual adviser.  Blender seems a little more youth oriented as well, so perhaps it may be a better way to go.  Just my thoughts,

Andrew
