Figured I'd make one of these and put it up for people to talk in, so only updates are in the other thread!

Have fun everyone that is going!

I will try to send updates to LittleFly. I won't be there for the openers however.

Because it gets too damn hard to go over pages of useless posts just to get to the updates or setlist.

well if you update the first post in the thread you wouldn't have to dig through pages, also in a setlist thread you have to read every reply to put a setlists  together

Also cuz sometimes we lose the original updater (thread starter) and have to continue updating down below.

Any idea of how full the arena will be tonight? I heard grumblings of 5000 or less.

I've never HEARD of Aimes, IA. Are there more than 5,000 people in the TOWN?  Grin

I guess this is one of those "Soft Markets," where some people from Minneapolis get to see them twice!  ok

Had to cancel my trip to this and the Minneapolis shows, total bummer.  Undecided

Edward, Ames is the home of Iowa St. University (approx. 20,000 students--major BCS school in Big 12 conference).  Hilton Coliseum is an infamous basketball arena (one of the toughest and loudest college arenas, home of the mythical "Hilton Magic"---ISU has had many improbable comeback victories in the arena).  Ames, is the Northern suberb of Des Moines, IA--the capitol of Iowa, and a metropolitan area with about 1 million people.  It should not be as soft of a market as nearby Omaha, NE, or the Quad Cities (which GNR played in 2002).  They must be doing a second leg, because they are by-passing Kansas City (3 hours from Ames), which, next to Minneapolis, is the largest metropolitan area in the Midwest.

Thank you for the info. I watch the weather channel allot, and I usually know big cities by how often I hear them mention it. I guess, as you explained, Des Moines is mentioned as the general area.
