I know this sounds like a stupid thread, but I couldn't help but wonder after finding out that Freddie Mercury was Indian. So, what's your country done to make Rn'R better? Be it a band or a musician that has influenced Rock in some way.
Since I come from India, these are the ones I know of:
Musicians:
1) Freddie Mercury (Queen, one of the greatest frontmen of all time)
2) Kim Thayil (Lead Guitarist, SoundGarden)
Instruments:
1) The Sitar has influenced everybody from the Beatles to Guns N' Roses.

In Australia we have an unique phenomenon called Pub Rock. Two band of note here are - The Angels and Cold Chisel.
Also, we have a little known band called AC/DC. The original lead singer, Bon Scott - ROCKED!

How many generations removed from India are they though... In that case Every American Band can be claimed by another country.

That's true. They don't have much to do with India except that their parents are Indian, but it's still nice to know though.

But still, there's this band called Machiavel, and they're really good.
