Student: Was the bomb exploded at Alamogordo during the Manhattan
Project the first one to be detonated?

Dr. Oppenheimer: Well -- yes. In modern times, of course.

I wonder if they were using nuclear power like we do and what they did with the remains?

Welcome back. I missed your post for a few days. Whereas, I might not always agree with them, I always enjoy them immensely.

On topic, the ancients couldn't even smelt steel ...

On topic, the ancients couldn't even smelt steel ...

They could however make batteries, and assemble 4 million tons of rock into perfectly shaped, star aligned structures. By pure man power!

Hell, they even told their buddies in South America and Australia to do the same.

hahaha  rofl  Duh!  Isn't it obvious there were ancient plasma ray guns?   rofl

The pyramids...Stonehenge...come on people!  Human ingenuity, mathematics, and a life that revolved around the seasons for not only spiritual purposes, but also food gathering/production, etc. obviously had nothing to do with these great achievements!  Isn't it obvious it was aliens or some other magical outside force/presence???    hihi

I must say though, like the Jerry Springer Show at times, I'm sucked in to viewing this kind of garbage.  Half the time I'm left wondering if the institutions with all of these "experts" is a shared compound with the editors of Mad Magazine.  I think Alfred E. Newman himself is a big contributor to these hilarious threads.   yes

could the ancient glass thing be caused by a meteor?

i know it said in there that theres not a crater anywhere around there but when an astroid hits earth, the earth eventually heals itself by erosion and after a while you can't tell that there was ever something there that hit.

right?Huh

If the crater weathered away, the tektites would be long gone too. Impacts "throw" tektites for hundreds of miles, and just because a crater hasn't been found, doesn't mean that it is not there; it just hasn't been found found yet.

Polluxlm- the batteries you are refering to were clay jars filled with vingar and copper. They might have produced a current, but they were by know means efficient or prolific.

Might? They did produce currents. Granted they were not much to speak of, but what matters is that it seriously questions conventional theory.

But hey, Terra's only been round for 500 years.

I have always thought that the song KASHMIR by LED ZEPPELIN was about nuclear war in that region back then. If you look at the lyrics, that could make sense.

KASHMIR
(Page, Plant, Bonham)

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed

Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear
But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear
Oh, oh.

Oh, I been flying... mama, there ain't no denyin'
I've been flying, ain't no denyin', no denyin'

All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land
Trying to find, trying to find where I've been.

Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream
Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream
My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon, I will return again
Sure as the dust that floats high in June, when movin' through Kashmir.

Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails, across the sea of years
With no provision but an open face, along the straits of fear
Ohh.

When I'm on, when I'm on my way, yeah
When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah

Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I'm down...
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, well I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, oooh, my baby, let me take you there

Let me take you there. Let me take you there...

Nah, not quite ... think about what was happening in the early 70s; exploring the mind ... hint hint.

A little early to be talking about the ole purple micro dot.  Or the double barrell or my personal favorite sky blue and white lightning.

Perhaps Mr. Crazy can explain the overwhelming randomness of these impacts.

Why so many near the coastlines?

Why the majority in present USA, Australia and the area around Scandinavia and Russia?

Why do some come in sequence, like pearls on a string?
