I don't think I listen to 50 bands. OK, I do but some/most of them I have just an album or a few songs of.

Not that song plays correlates perfectly with preference, but I'd say this is a pretty good representation.
According to my last.fm charts, with some changes (combined Jimi and The Jimi Hendrix Experience, etc.):
1 Guns N' Roses 2 AC/DC 3 Black Sabbath 4 Iron Maiden 5 Pink Floyd 6 Thin Lizzy 7 M?tley Cr?e 8 Gov't Mule 9 Led Zeppelin 10 Izzy Stradlin/Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds 11 Buckcherry 12 Norther 13 Bullets and Octane 14 Mot?rhead 15 Alice Cooper 16 Beautiful Creatures 17 Nazareth 18 Aerosmith 19 Black Label Society 20 Skid Row 21 Bathory 22 Opeth 23 Ozzy Osbourne 23 Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble 25 (tie) Nine Inch Nails and L.A. Guns 27 Gilby Clarke 28 Alice in Chains 29 Amon Amarth 30 Social Distortion 31 (tie) The Black Crowes and Faith No More 33 Dark Tranquillity 34 (tie) The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band 36 Pantera 37 Faster Pussycat 38 Kill Cheerleader 39 Mastodon 40 Metallica 41 Deep Purple 42 Rattlesnake Remedy 43 Slash's Snakepit 44 Acid Bath 45 Velvet Revolver 46 Wintersun 47 Nevermore 48 (tie) Ted Nugent and The Scream 50 Children of Bodom
Seb Bach is quickly on the rise in my charts, and will probably be in the top 50 if I listen to his album one or two more times. I prefer it over Children of Bodom, but they have four or five albums, and I've listened to all of them multiple times in exploring that band (even though I don't own any of them). I also think Derek and the Dominos would be much higher, if they had more than one studio album.

I don't think that I could name 50 of anything, but GnR, Zepp, and Floyd would be at the top if I could. John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, and Muddy Waters would be up there too; then there is ...
