I am some what ashamed to admit that it was Brenda Lee, 65 or 66(my mam took me). My first real show was Black Oak and Skynyrd(74)

Although I use it myself quite often, I really dislike calling concerts/gigs "shows".

My first show (ha!) was Buffalo Tom at the Paard in The Hague in March or April 1991. Then Metallica at Wembley in October 1992, Evan Dando (as support to a band whose name I can't recall) in 2000 and Buddy Guy in 2006, with a few small bar gigs and friends' bands thrown in. To be honest, not much has interested me enough to pay up for a ticket. I only went to the Dando gig because a very hot chick asked me to go with her, and we didn't hook up at the end either. Lame on both counts!

3-21-93    Gn'R, Fargo, ND

It was Christmas Day, 1992. I was 9 years old, I had already opened my presents, it was a good Christmas, but I was kinda bummed cause I didn't get anything from Santa (yes, at 9 I knew Santa was really my parents, but still, it was an extra gift)  So after breakfast, my mom brought me an envelope, it said "From Santa"    I opened the envelope, and inside were two SECOND ROW tickets to see Gn'R (I had already been obsessed with Gn'R fro a few years, and my parents got me the tickets to see them cause they figured I wouldn't have another chance) Yep, I was the only 4th grader in my school to go to that show Smiley

Oh, a couple years after that my dad told me he'd buy me tickets if they ever came around again...after he and my mom divorced and he moved to Vegas, then years later  imagine his surprise when I said "Hey, guess who's playing here on new years?"

I was 16 at that Fargodome show. It was seated. One month later, Rapid City Civic Center with General Admission; the craziest fucking concert I've ever witnessed.

My first was Motley Crue & Faster Pussycat on the Dr. Feelgood tour.

Genesis at the Philadelphia Spectrum in 1986 with my mom, dad, and sister. it was awful. it was so boring. i actually fell asleep.

2nd was Bruce Sringsteen in 1987. That wasn't much better. A boring show by Bruce standards. He did "Born to Run" accoustic sitting on a bench.

3rd was when it got real. GnR in August 1988 opening for Aerosmith.

4th was the Stones at the Vet in 1989.

5th was Motley Crue on December 8, 1989.

My first ever proper gig (aside from random folk bands in many a scottish pub) was The Cure in Edinburgh in 1992.
