Here Today...

« on: June 18, 2008, 01:24:27 PM »

I always find it interesting/amusing when there is an Axl mention....

Maul Stanley: What is the status of your long-delayed autobiography "Honorary Discharge"? You've been promising that for about 10 years now. Is it really not finished yet or are you just waiting for Axl Rose to release "Chinese Democracy"?

Bruce Kulick: That would make sense! When Axl finally puts out that record, I'll have no choice but to finish my book! In truth, the book already has about 24 chapters written. However, it's been at least six years since I actually worked on it, mostly because the music itself always takes priority for me.

Who is Bruce Kullick?

Bruce Kullick was a guitarist in Kiss, after Mark St. John and before the reunion.  I think he played from Crazy Nights on.  In the 70's, his brother Bob would fill in for Ace when he was drunk.  Bob played on all the original songs on Alive II except Rocket Ride.  Ace made it in the play his own song lol!  For Paul Frehley, a legend...  beer

C'mon now.  Someone else brought Axl into it, and Bruce was just responding to the question...it was nice to see that Bruce didn't take the bait and make some off-the-cuff snide remark.

Thanks for that little mention.

Bruce is a great guitarist in his own right and a very easygoing and friendly guy.

Who is John Corabi ?

someone you wouldn't know unless you know Motley Crue.   He sang for them on an album in the 90s.

Cool, thanks....  ok

I think we should start a thread on obscure artists and see if we can get people to identify them for fun. Im not implying Bruce Kullick and John Corabi are obscure but I had no idea who they were, and I consider myself somewhat of an aficionado when it comes to rock trivia!  Grin

KISS=one of the most over-rated bands ever.

But the guy gets kudos, i think he was the guy who did the wammy bar wankage during the song Crazy Nights? Thats the best bit of the song.

Is it? maybe in the us.
I didn't even know that christos ag lookalike was Gene Simmons of KISS.

then again, I'm a big fan of arctic monkeys and yet to learn any members name.  hihi

apparently the name Chinese Democracy is getting established as an idiom.
