Michael C. Hall 'Fully Recovered' From Cancer, Says Wife
By PopEater Staff Posted Apr 24th 2010 06:53AM
http://www.popeater.com/2010/04/24/michael-c-hall-cancer-fully-recovered/
'Dexter' star Michael C. Hall has "fully recovered" from cancer, his wife, Jennifer Carpenter, confirmed to the AP.
Carpenter, who referred to Hall as "incredibly brave," added that her Golden Globe-winning husband has since returned to work on the film 'East Fifth Bliss,' opposite Lucy Liu.
The news marks a speedy recovery for Hall, who in January announced that he was in remission after being diagnosed with a treatable form of Hodgkin's lymphoma.
"I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care," he said at the time.
Throughout his treatment, Hall remained in the spotlight thanks to a busy awards season, during which he received a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for his performance on the critically acclaimed Showtime drama.
Production on 'Dexter' is slated to begin this summer.

That is the best positive "cancer free" news ever. Congratulations Michael.

First episode was incredible.
Did not really love the last 2 seasons, but I got a hunch this one will be the best since Season 1

What's up D? I did like Arthur's character, but the plots were not good
I thought the last few episodes were good, but overall the season was not up to par

That annoying Rita/marriage counseling bullshit subplot was a brilliant set-up.
All season long, all I keep thinking was how her character was ruining the Dexter character. Her character was sooo annoying that you couldn't help but wish they'd kill her off before she ruined the show. That is .... until it happened!!! and then I was like ... OMG!!!!
I admit it ... they got me good.

Plus, in the beginning she was so shy and by the end she turned into quite a little dominating force....good riddance

Yeah i can kinda see where u all are coming from. She was pretty annoying by the end, then after that affair etc..
still didn't see that coming.
I have to remember at times Dexter has no emotion.. so its kinda cool but creepy watching his reactions and that 911 call etc. WOW! u would think he was ordering takeout.
I do hope this Kyle Butler thing leads to some awesome twists and turns.
will say, i was very happy they started the season exactly where last left off.
Rescue Me drives me nuts when they leave on a cliffhanger and then when the next season starts its like 6 months later and they tell u what happened..

I am new to DEXTER. I loved the 2 episodes of the new season. I think I need to get the DVDS of the first 5 seasons. Rita seemed likeable in Dexter's flashbacks.

She was very likeable early on...in fact they painter her as damaged, reserved and very much played the part of an abuse victim...but then once they decided to domesticate Dexter, it was like someone changed her character into the usual nagging wife that you see on TV...shame, really, she had some depth at first.

Thanks for the insight. I was just looking at my Hello Kitty grim reaper avatar, and I noticed that she looks a little like Dexter.
I was very intrigued by the flashback of his first date with Rita and they show him throwing body parts into the water while they were chatting on the phone. I think that tells you all that you need to know about Dex.

Last night's episode gave me nightmares.
I don't want Dexter to kill that girl, but I don't want him to get caught either.

'Dexter' to end after season eight
CBS executive Lester Moonves announced that the next installment of the serial killer ?Showtime? series will be it?s last.
'Dexter' will end it's run after season eight, CBS executive Les Moonves announced.
Dexter's" killing spree appears to be coming to an end.
CBS Corp. chief executive Les Moonves told investors Monday that the upcoming eighth season of Showtime's popular Michael C. Hall series will be its last.
"We have Ray Donovan coming on with Liev Schreiber, which comes on with Dexter's last season starting in June, and then we have Masters of Sex," Moonves told an analyst who asked about Showtime's future schedule, Broadcasting & Cable magazine reported.
The series, about a police forensics expert who is secretly a serial killer targeting criminals, debuted in 2006 and quickly became a flagship title for the cable network in its competition with HBO and Showtime for critically-acclaimed shows.
Showtime officials - who report to Moonves - have yet to confirm the news.

No real news really since it was clear for 1 or 2 years that the show will end after season 8.
I am happy it will end and can't wait to see how it will turn out

Series finale made me cry. I like to think that fate will bring Lumen and Dexter back together again.

The finale was awful and the entire last season was laughable. This article talks to the former showrunner from Dexter in seasons 1-4 (I have stated here that starting with season 5 this show fell off a cliff) about the ending he had in mind, which is would have been fantastic and made up for the crap we saw since he left the show:
