Quote
"Sometimes I feel like my / life's a catastrophe."

Bought the CD in Toronto, Canada, and I can definitely hear this at 1:19 of 'Scraped'. As others have mentioned, it's barely noticeable unless you're looking for it, but it happens during the line above. Almost like the words "Sometimes I feel like my" and "life's a catastrophe" were pasted together, and you can hear the jump cut.

Per Axl:

The song sounds like it should sound.

The skip you hear is intentional. It's not a defect.

Not to sound like an ass... But if there IS indeed an error, do you think they'd own up to it so soon after the release of an album that has had so much controversy?  I mean I understand that errors occur, but I think the expectations for an album this long in the making are unreal and any bad press like this would be bad for GNR/the labels/etc.  I know if I worked on this album for so long I wouldn't be so quick to admit to error.  Just saying...

PS.  I'm really pissed that there are errors with the lyrics on the CD booklet.  How hard is that stuff to get right?  Come on guys...

My vinyl has some skipping issues right out of the package.  I may take it back for a new copy.

Welcome to vinyl.

I've noticed it as well.  Sounds like a pro-tools cut and paste issue.

I didnt know there would be people thinking its an error...

It's axl playing with the vocals, jumping from one track to another. I think it sounds awesome and very original.

Not to sound like an ass... But if there IS indeed an error, do you think they'd own up to it so soon after the release of an album that has had so much controversy?

If you don't believe Axl, there's an easy way to get a definitive 'defect or intentional' reply from the other person in the band who is considered an "expert" on these 'sounds' things.  Next time you see Chris in a club, go up to him ... strike up a conversation ... and then non-chalantly throw out how you heard that Axl said that this sound was intentional.

If Chris' favorite beverage comes shooting out of his nostrils because he's trying to stifle a laugh, then you know it's a defect.  If not and he just looks at you like you're an ass for even questioning what Axl said, then it's an intentional part of the song.  hihi

If there is any errors on the record it is:

This I Love 0:39-0:40, right before "She holds her pain inside". Sounds like a copy and paste error.

The one in Scraped? Doesn't sound like a error to me.

Does anyone else feel as though the volume of the vocals decreases at an awkward spot right after the beginning chorus, like, right in the middle of a word?

During the line: "Sometimes I feel like the world is on top of me"

It sounds to me at least, that the vocals get quieter over "I feel like", instead of just making them quieter at the beginning of the verse
