Thanks for all the comments.  Jarmo - thanks for the info on that item.  Yeah, I also have other CD related items that aren't listed here, but they are some of the more common ones like the Thai cd with turban, the Canada cd with shirt, the US acetate cds, etc.  You can see 'em all on my website - www.troccolitm.com

As for these being 'mispressed', these seem more defect/imperfect copies. The first one having the sleeve misplaced in the case; the second one having no sleeve at all. Why they ever got out to the store, let alone sold, is a bit dirty on Best Buy's part. Other than these 2 discs being part of the greater collection, is there any value?

That said, Troccoli, your tenacity and collection are AMAZING! Second to none.

Years and years of collecting - I prefer finding shit at record stores or record shows but some internet sites have helped.

I'll say this - I certainly didn't find them at BestBuy - got 'em on eBay.  That being said, the person selling could be someone who works at BestBuy and got their hands on cds that were pulled due to imperfections or they work at the factory where these were being packaged.  As far as value I think I paid in teh $20-30 range for both, but I guess value (like beauty) is up to the beholder.  Thanks for the compliment!

I think I got mine for just shy of twenty after shipping. It was a twenty well spent IMO.
