I think we can all agree that this stream of random activity has been a roller coaster ride at the very least, but exciting none the less for fans of this band!
The thing that continues to go through my mind is... so what comes next? It seems as though Axl is rejuvinated. Will we have an announcement of a US tour after the Canadian dates? (I for one am hoping for this!  Grin) A European tour? More recording? (Doubtful I suppose but would be kinda exciting right?) Or do you suppose silence again? (It actually seems unlikely with Axl's sudden fondness of Twitter) Just interesting discussion!

Probably more touring-I remember the mid-late 90's, and 2003-2006-I think this has been fun, so I'm just enjoying the ride

Recording more new material is PROBABLY the furthest thing from Axl's mind at the moment. He's already stated the next two years '09-'11 they will be touring Chinese. I also doubt that they would record and drop another album while on tour. Doesn't mean it can't be done, it just seems more likely that it won't. Besides, they're all having too much fun right now, no strings attached, no dead lines, no record company hassling the fuck out of you for new material then rejecting it. When you consider all of that....this specific tour is like a vacation to Axl  hihi

Whatever the case may be, he worked long and hard for this and he and the band deserves to enjoy this tour to very fullest, as well as all of us who have stayed true through thick and thin.  Whatever is in store for us next, well only Axl knows that at the moment, as fun as it may be to speculate, as it has been said, I'm along for the ride and enjoying all this tour has to offer even if it is from behind the scenes, and at this particular moment life is good and it is great to be a GNR fan.

Frank hinted a late summer tour in U.S. and Ron said he'll be busy for the year with GnR touring... so my guess is they're gonna tour the whole year, obviously the dates that haven't been announced aren't solid yet, but they should be worked after the South American tour ends, after they've built enough momentum around the band to book U.S, Europe and everywhere else.

I'm thinking they're gonna go to Europe after South America, then the US. I have my passport now, so i'd be into heading to Europe and then go to some US dates after that. Seems like (acording to Baz) that there is more stuff recorded and i would think the guys are working on stuff together as the tour goes on. i personally think Ashba was brought on board because of his songwriting/producing skills. Right now, I am happy GnR is successfully touring behind a great fucking album and playing plenty off of that album -- not like most bands with a lot of past hits that go on the road "supporting" a new album but only play a couple of songs of the new material and then rely on a greatist hits show. As Guns n' fucking roses fans we are very fortunate that we ge the best of both worlds -- plenty of new material and plenty of classic stuff. I'm just glad Axl and the boys are back and having a good time kicking ass!

Agree, I've not been to a show but its exciting keeping up to date with things on here, just keeping my fingers crossed that they hit Europe after South America and that we get some kind of live DVD!

Yeah, a DVD (or better: a Blu-ray) of this tour would be fucking amazing. And that wouldnt stop them to continue the tour.

im hoping for an anouncement on the US tour, after all the album is at least almost done... they just have to put ashba's parts unless they change something.
So maybe we'll have an announcement.

As for vacations, i think Axl had enough vacations in the last 15 years  hihi

So true. It is a testament to the abilities if this band to be able to put out great stuff that they have the confidence to play it live. Also, with the addition of Ashba, I think it takes their creative abilities to a whole new level! Cheesy

^^^^ They could have 20 albums of material - until released they're none of your fuckin' business  hihi

As someone who is unable to visit the shows in the Americas, I'm strangely excited by the South American shows.  There is so much un-quenched passion down there for Gn'R, the atmosphere will be electric.  I believe after those shows, the band will feel they can do anything!!!!

Purely selfishly I hope they hit Europe, it's a good market for them as 2006 showed - and it's now long enough since they were last here to tempt the casuals back again.

But who knows, as long as they are out there having a good time, winning over crowds, kicking ass/taking names - It's all good  - So far, no-one can have any complaints ok
