this is what the last comment on dimeadozen says....
"TORRENT BANNED FROM DIME!
Downloaders report a vanity logo in the video, and since this came from an already digitized source, that means the video has been reencoded post-digitization."
mhhh, a reencoding just to add a logo? not good
Actually, no. The logo was added on the authoring software. Here's what I did, from the raw files 'till the final product:
Vegas 9: I used it to cut off the screen's edges, so the screen's picture would take over all the video aspect (if you see the videos on youtube you'll see the difference). Vegas reads the .m2ts files. After I did what I had to do, I saved the videos in full resolution .avi files.
Adobe audition: I opened the full resolution .avi files and improved the audio (EQ, compressor and mastering tool. The difference if HUGE!). Then I saved the videos with the improved audio and, since Adobe Audition doesn't change anything on the image's aspect of the videos, there was no quality lost on this process.
Win DVD Creator: I opened the full resolutions .avi files with the improved audios and authored the DVDs: I added the chaptures, the menus and the logo. I did the logo as small as I could, and I even tried to change it's opaticy, but the software doesn't allow you to do it. Then I pressed the "create DVD" button and that was it: the DVD was ready.
I didn't encode the files just to put the logo on...that's ridiculous. I just used a feature that the authoring software gives me.
Could have added the logo with Vegas, you added a whole additional step that wasn't needed!
