The stage and production would be "surprises" for the vegas shows, not members and setlist.I'm sure there will be more rare songs in the upcoming shows.
We all deal with the band everyday and expect the unexpected.CITR and TWAT and the who song are bonus and welcomed.
Let's wait and see.

Here's the flipside to the whole "they play the same songs every night argument"... one of my favourite songs is There Was A Time. I have yet to be in attendance when that song has been played live. My reaction when I saw it had been played tonight was, "Dammit, why couldn't they play that in London?"
It's just as unreasonable as complaining that the set's the same every night, I know... but part of me wishes bands would just play the same set so that I don't miss out on them playing a great song on nights I'm not there.  Wink

I'm so jealous that There Was A Time was played. I am really hoping they play it Friday or Saturday, but considering how rare they play it ... I'm not expecting it ...

it's an incredible set list/...As I've said before it's a fair representation of AFD, UYI N' CD w/ some LIES thrown in...I'm glad they've added songs from the UYI albums because prior the set was a bit too AFD heavy..Mixing in 1 or 2 covers w/ rotating CD songs is the way to go....

damnit!  There Was a Time is the ONLY song from Chinese Democracy I ever want to hear live, and they rarely play it.  Of course the only NYC show I missed since 2006 (the first Hammerstein show) they played it.

Not to ruin on everyone?s party but to me the setlists have been pretty disappointed so far...

4 shows until now and with a catalogue so big they sure repeat a lot of songs.

Maybe as a Pearl Jam fan i?m spoiled but i can remember the last 4 shows at the spektrum and the setlists were so different from each night...

Watching the setlists so far its been disappointing...

Considering they just did three songs in one night that they have not done at all since 2010 (The Seeker was a premiere), I'd say you picked the wrong date to complain about a setlist for a show you didn't attend.

/jarmo

Exactly what Jarmo said.

I was there last night and I can tell you it was an awesome set list!

Looked like a great set! I'm glad they have Catcher in there, one of my favorites and I don't know why it's not played more. Congrats to the band and everyone who got to be there last night  beer

Oh Please Jarmo... The Seeker is not even a Guns N'Roses song... they can do any cover they want too, that doesn't change the fact that at this point no new songs on the setlist it's pretty negative in my view...

I mean don't get me wrong, the shows are still great and all... The old songs and the CD songs are awesome to listen to as well, but at this point and with this unique environment in Vegas you would expect a little more...

I'm not saying it's Axl's fault... maybe the contract they signed reads only CD songs + Appetite songs + others but no new songs... i dunno... i doubt it, but you never know, but in all it's pretty unsatisfying they're not playing even 1 new song...

wow! what a set list.

Seeker is my favorite Who song, and one of my favorite songs ever. i'm hoping a video pops up - dying to see that.

What a set indeed, I wish I was there... hihi

I've been lucky enough to see Catcher and TWAT live already (Toronto, Dublin), but I want to see them again, and again and again.  drool

I wonder if Finck was indeed there, but just kept backstage, and turned up to meet the band on his birthday?.

Unless you're going to go to a show in Vegas... stop bitching about the songs played. Your argument and issues have been heard 1000 times before and it's just getting old now.

If you are going and are disappointed, I feel you have room to talk. If you're sitting behind a keyboard halfway across the world with no intention of going and supporting the band... don't bitch about what songs they play.

We have heard it all before...
