I think it is tacky beyond belief. Gene Simmons eat your heart out.

I actually think it's pretty cool the boys are getting paid finally

Many quiet years in the 90s and 2000s.

They may have got it figured out.....    Buisness wise.

I was working at the ICE event when this was launched. There was a Les Paul on display signed by Axl & Slash and they were handing out free copies of "Greatest Hits". The video is all the old line up. I think it's stupid if this has been agreed on. Why not use footage of the "Appetite for Democracy" show and push the current band??

Here's the photos I took.

Don't think he does..  1) In November Rain isn't it the Joe Perry guitar? 2) ..it's completely the wrong colour

Also, the autographed one is an Epiphone.

Didn't the initial release statements say they were going to give away an autographed guitar?

Edit, found it. ok

The best news? The Signed Guns n Roses Guitar

And because it wouldn?t be a music slot without throwing in some rock memorabilia in there, NetEnt have announced that there will be one hell of a star prize to win when the game is released.

That would be the signed Axl Rose and Slash guitar you will be able to win.

How, what and when? Damn if we know.

But we?ve seen the guitar with our own eyes, and whilst our first attempt at making a smash and grab for it at the conference was unsuccessful (the blood will probably wash out), we fully intent on winning it when it comes out.

Concept is cool, the delivery is confusing if we are supporting the current band.

Well, think of it more like you're supporting a brand rather than a band.

For example, the company might make Star Wars slot.

To me, SW is Luke, Han, Leia, etc., but there is more recent stuff out there that could be used. Either way, it's a Star Wars brand.

I guess what I'm saying is that it's sort of still GNR because you're tapping history rather than current events.

That's how I see it and it's a good way for the company to justify it (also, they probably make more money off a character with a top hat who is more well known than say a guy with a bucket on his head, etc.)

Hope that makes sense.

It makes perfect sense.  I agree 100%.

I'm kind of surprised Axl is rolling with all this.  But, perhaps we can add this the ever growing list of things that happen without his knowledge.  Although, in this case, it would actually make sense because its hard to believe he'd be all about this.

You can find these unofficial live albums and videos all over the place. They just keep repackaging all the professionally shot shows.

I was excited for a few seconds when I thought this might lead to a version of 'Paradise City' from Chicago other than the 1:19 version on all our bootlegs.

Chicago 1992 is, I think, just about the ultimate GNR concert from that era.

Pretty good setlist.  Long winded, preposterous Axl rants.  And generally top notch performances of each song played.

One of my favorite shows to listen to.  (though I do drop the rants from the playlist)

I wouldn't call it preposterous.  There was a lot of pain there and Axl shared some real insight into what was going on at that time in his life.

I agree, some "fans" try to continually get digs in at GNR and try to appear clever, they fail miserably at both.
