And it got worse for him today when he said he will not be supporting Paul Ryan or John McCain for re-election. At this point i think he's actively trying to throw the election. He's already 8 points behind Hillary and not backing Ryan or McCain will not only piss off more republicans but also McCain and Ryan. Who is the speaker of the house assuming he wins re-election Trump will need to work with him if he wins not piss him off. This man is either 1 beyond stupid, 2. a psychopathic egomaniac or 3. trying to lose.

Forget everything else you know about the candidates. Who would you rather have representing you to the world?
Candidate A: Former Secretary Of State, First Lady, NY Senator
Or
Candidate B: Reality Show Villian, Failed Casino Owner, Twitter Troll

No for the purposes of that post I actually do want to forget all that.
Just based on those 3 resume points I want to know which candidate (A or B)would be a better representative for you as a US citizen.
I choose candidate A.

Gary Johnson on 11 key issues: Where does Libertarian presidential candidate stand?
By Marie Morelli |
mmorelli@syracuse.com
on August 17, 2016 at 6:24 AM, updated August 17, 2016 at 8:25 AM
Voters are so disenchanted with major-party presidential candidates that many are taking a serious look at Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson.
Johnson, 63, was twice elected governor of New Mexico as a Republican, serving from 1995 to 2003. He boasts that he cut taxes 14 times, balanced the state's budget and left office with a billion-dollar surplus. The Libertarian Cato Institute gave him a fiscal policy grade of "B" in 2002.
Johnson ran for president in 2012 as a Republican with a libertarian-flavored platform focused on limited government, non-interventionist foreign policy, tax reform and opposition to the war on drugs. After being "marginalized in a Republican primary that seeks rigidity and ideological purity,'' Johnson jumped to the Libertarian Party. He and running mate James P. Gray received 1.27 million votes, about 1 percent of votes cast.
In 2016, Johnson's running mate is William Weld, 71, the former two-term Republican governor of Massachusetts.
Libertarians believe in liberty, enterprise and personal responsibility. "Each individual has the right to control his or her own body, action, speech, and property. Government's only role is to help individuals defend themselves from force and fraud,'' the party's website says.
Johnson calls the Democrats and Republicans "slightly different flavors of the status quo."
Here's where he and Weld stand on 11 key issues:
TAXES
Johnson would eliminate loopholes and deductions for special interests; get rid of "double taxation'' on small businesses; and, eventually, replace taxes on income with a tax on consumption. The Libertarian Party platform calls for the abolishment of the Internal Revenue Service.
JOBS/ECONOMY
Johnson and Weld both tout their economic records as governors. They would cut over-regulation that they say is stifling entrepreneurs and small businesses.
CIVIL LIBERTIES
Johnson opposes government surveillance of private communications and financial transactions and favors an unregulated internet. He was an early supporter of gay marriage. Johnson also supports a woman's right to have an abortion. He opposes restricting gun ownership, except with respect to the mentally ill, and thinks Americans would be safer if more people carried guns. "Responsible adults should be free to marry whom they want, arm themselves if they want, and lead their personal lives as they see fit ? as long as they aren't harming anyone else in doing so," his website says.
FOREIGN POLICY/MILITARY
The role of the military and foreign policy in a Johnson administration would be to "protect Americans from harm and allow us to exercise our freedoms.'' Johnson would stop using the military for "nation building'' and "policing the world," which he says has created new enemies and kept the country in a state of "perpetual war.''
IMMIGRATION
Johnson says his background as the former governor of a border state informs his understanding of immigration policy. He is critical of Trump's plan to build a wall. Johnson would make it easier for immigrants, after a background check, to get a work visa and a Social Security card so they could pay taxes.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Johnson believes "tough on crime'' laws have criminalized aspects of our personal lives that should not be the concern of the state. He cites the war on drugs as an example, and calls it a failure. Johnson also is critical of mandatory minimum sentences that prevent judges from using their discretion.
MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION
As president, Johnson would take marijuana off the federal government's list of controlled substances, allowing states to legalize its recreational and medicinal use. He favors taxing and regulating the marijuana business. "We need to treat drug abuse as a health issue, not a crime,'' he says.
EDUCATION
Johnson would abolish the federal Department of Education and eliminate the Common Core curriculum. He favors school choice and competition to foster innovation.
ENVIRONMENT
The Libertarian candidates would focus the Environmental Protection Agency on its core mission of protecting the environment. He and Weld say the climate "probably'' is changing and that humans "probably'' have something to do with it, but they question whether government's efforts to combat it are working, or worth the expense.
DEFICIT/BUDGET
Johnson says he would balance the federal budget by cutting military spending and reforming entitlement programs. He hasn't provided specifics on what he would cut; the National Review estimates he would have to cut the budget by 43 percent to balance it.
HEALTH CARE
Johnson says he supports a free-market health care system that lowers cost through competition. Johnson opposes the Affordable Care Act. When asked at the June 22, 2016 town hall on CNN whether he would replace Obamacare or modify it, he was noncommittal. "I'm going to assume that Republican proposals accomplish that. If the proposals don't accomplish that, then I'm not on board,'' he said.

I disagree with him on a few things, especially his more guns will make us safer. That's a dumbass assumption. Just cause more people are armed doesn't mean it would stop shootings. You never know when or where something like that is going to happen. So how will having everyone armed at a place an attack takes place help? Somebody is still going to get hurt or killed in such a situation. It may help diffuse the situation quicker but stop it? No chance.

I think it depends on the situation as far as more guns would make us safer. I am for background checks and eliminating the private seller loophole.
Not infringing on the 2nd amendment rights for law abiding citizens while keeping guns out of the hands of mentally unstable people, violent criminals and violent radicalized religious zealots such as radical Islamic terrorists is where we need to go with gun control policies. I dont hear this from either the NRA or gun control democrats as that would be somewhere in the middle of those 2 groups and no one seems to want a compromise....

Basically, you just recited Hillary Clintons campaign speech/platform. The only minor difference is she wants to put back the AR ban that Bush allowed to expire.
Just sayin....

The dumbest thing I have heard trump about is guns.
If one kid could be saved by banning all hand guns world wide it would be a good thing
Where are people leaving that having a gun will make them safer! That's crazy! Fix the problem of why you need that gun. Lol if I even lived in a place I needed a knife to be safe. Or a spoon. I would move! Or fix the problem. Fixing it does not mean being able to protect yourself haha.

I dont buy into the theory that Hillary wants to abolish the 2nd amendment and don't think she could even if she wanted to.
The NRA has many republicans convinced that any alteration to the gun laws is taking away gun rights.
In many of these mass shootings that have occurred in the last few years, if a responsible gun owner was armed he could have taken out the shooter before he killed as many people as he did. Take Sandy Hook for example, what if a few of the teachers were armed or there were plainclothed armed security at the school. Would have made a difference.
Pulse nightclub a bit of a different situation. May not be the best idea to have people drinking booze and carrying. Armed security could be a viable option. There was only 1 armed officer at the front door and he got taken out of the equation by Omar Marteen when he entered the bar.
It isn't a black and white situation and it gets oversimplified to that when dealing with politics. Our politicians aren't doing their job when it comes to this subject because their dug in so deep with their positions.
My 2 cents on the subject.....

Most people in the US believe more guns will make us safer and not the obvious stricter gun laws. For example look at the laws to get a gun in Sweden where they have among the fewest murders in the world.

I don't think arming teachers is a good idea. Someone that shouldn't get shot will get shot. Same with allowing it in clubs. Drunk people+guns=very bad idea. You're right it isn't just a black and white issue. It's a racism and hate in general problem. We have a big problem with race still in this country as well as phobics like homphobia and islamaphobia. It needs to stop. Until we all can finally accept people for who they are without caring about their race, religion or sexuality shit like this will continue.

I am not sure you can ever fully eradicate racism and other extreme biases in society and that is unfortunate. And then there is a percentage of them who can turn violent and usually mental illness is also involved there.
But also, too many people throw the term racist around and try to label someone or something where there really isn't racism and that is also not a good thing. Its like a modern day scarlet letter.
I dont see anything wrong with allowing a teacher , for example, to carry a gun, obviously a system for this would need to be in place, not like they should keep a pistol in their top drawer of their desk or anything like that, any weapon would need to be secured. Would have to be on a volunteer basis & strict criteria would have to be met and they'd need to be trained on it. If the next potential mass shooter thought there'd be a chance they would be shot back at it would certainly make them think twice about doing such a thing.
And at the same time with some reform of the gun laws to keep these guns out of the hands of the mentally ill and those who subscribe to extreme ideologies, maybe we'll make some headway.

And it looks like we've got a competitive race again now that Trump is on message for a whole week. But if he reverts to the idiotic bluster and 4th grade behavior its over I think. Maybe the staff shakeup did some good for him. Think the only reason he has been able to recover from his past comments is that he is running against Hillary who brings a lot of negatives herself.
http://graphics.latimes.com/usc-presidential-poll-dashboard/
Clinton 43%
Trump 45%
Of course, these polls ignore 3rd party candidates.......
Maybe if the media would give other candidates more coverage people would take more of an interest in them as viable alternatives.

I question the accuracy of this one. All polls i've been seeing Hillary has an ok lead. Not a great insurmountable lead but a lead and in key swing states. I haven't seen any since trump's campaign shakeup. That happened at the end of the week though, so i assume it'll be during the week before we start seeing more polls to get a real idea if it i helped at all.
