I love how he always has that in his lyrics...

"GN'R Lies" ...
"Like the lies they sell to you" garden of Eden
"You know you're stronger than the lies that they tell you..."

Etc... Funny how they always kept that since the classic lineup to 2008.

I suspect in part it's because Axl has a certain level of personal ethics in regard to his art and person whereby he feels innacuracies very personally. In part because he has a bit of anpersecution complex and geuinely seems to view people with differing views or recollections as liars. The out ta get me attitude fuelled a fire that 'hmm I disagree but I can see how you would come to that conclusion' does not.
