You're right, you've gotta be really high.
You must not know too much about Frank Zappa's band. He was an intense bandleader and didn't allow drug use because of how alert his musicians had to be during live shows, besides, of course, how difficult his compositions could be.

Additionally, Zappa himself was only a coffee drinker because he worked approximately 18 hours per day.
