Anyone know what this was about?

Note that the lead singer was the same guy who sang the Care Bears theme song.

I think given the serious nature of the the Turtles we should all get a petition out there for them to make a retraction.  If the world catches wind of their opinion - god know Chinese Democracy might be pushed back another year or two.  lol

Oh no!  The Turtles, The Monkeys and Linkin Park all bashed GNR!  I call for the death penalty!  *lol*  Come on!  So what?  They don't like GNR the so be it.  We all like GNR, we're all entitled our opinions.  Personally I don't give a rat's ass about what ANYONE might think of GNR.  I like em and I am not the only one.  Sure some won't like em and those people may like something I don't and that's ok.  That's just life.  Why hate someone because they bash GNR.  Geez!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?  I have their tape from Pizza Hut from like 1990.  I'm suprised it didn't knock GNR out of the billboard charts.......it friggen rocks!

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

You guys need to learn your rock history. Flo and Eddie weren't also members of the Turtles but also Frank Zappa's Mother's of Invention. They were pretty well know for their somewhat rude, sometimes infantile, and always sarcastic social commentary (think of it as two Howard Stern's fronting a band...kinda like that). It doesn't surprise me at all that they would have said something like that.

People are entitled to their own opinions and they can say whatever they fucking want, so we just have to live with it.  It was 17 years ago, so I don't care as much as I would if it happened this week.  But even then, I wouldn't be that upset about the Turtles saying that shit.

It's pretty ironic that a washed-up band from the 60's talks shit about GNR in the 80's and today, roughly 20 years later, people are just now finding out about this and getting upset...  I love YouTube!

The musical legacy those two washed up 60's guys left is at least as great if not greater than the legacy GnR left in the 80's and early 90's.

You don't get to work with Frank Zappa by being a hack.
