Cigars, yes.

Don't know about the ciggs - I've read that he doesn't allow them in the studio anymore, but of course that could be bull-shit.

Izzy, not Slash, for UCLA.

Anyway, he seems to be puffing away cigars at every turn, so. . .

Cigars are OK, but cigarettes can ruin a mans voice, therefore he probably quit ok

Um - like already stated, a cigar contains the same amount of toxins as dozens of cigarettes.

It's sad that he's smoking again because in 2001 Beta's son said that he had quit and didn't allow anyone to smoke inside the studio.

I heard they're like 70 cigs, but some people don't inhale cigar smoke...

well, I've heard that one standard cigarette is more harmful to health than one cigar, even more harmful than a marijuana cigarette.

I've made a good choice, I only smoke Marlboro 20's box  hihi

He should have stopped smoking a while ago. His voice would be better off that way.

There's nothing wrong with it now...I'm sure cigars don't do shit compared to ciggs, just as long as you dont inhale yes

IMO, the character of Axl's voice needs a lot of smokin' and not just that - a lot of drugs and alcohol - the combined shit he did during the early and USI days... There is no more lenght and strenght in his voice (justi listen to the WTTJ in 2002 tour - awful), which probably comes with the nature of his habits. And since he is not the mean-dream machine any more, his voice suffers... Let's face it: his voice isnt' that strong anymore, the reason is probably in his habits, that far from those which made him famous in the early 90's (just read the Rolling stone interview on HTGTH).

My friend was in Jail in Minneapolis in January of 1992 and Axl got caught up with a pound of bud. He's proven it to me also.

Sure, so instead of lung and throat  cancer, you can die of tongue or lip cancer. The point  is: there is no "safe" smoking, and both  cigars and cigarettes will kill you soon or later.
