A dream realized...

I don't get why people who do care about running times of shows discount solos etc. anyway.

Because some have a really hard time letting the past go. The show they cherished as the longest ever isn't anymore. Tough luck.

If people who are in the band say it was the longest show in history, it was.

Easy as that.

They don't have to listen and time bootleg recordings. They were there!

or is it that people just would love to believe the record being broken because "they said so"?
we have a "digital" recording from the tokyo'09 show as proof for the real playing time from lights out/intro to music(lights) on...which is 3:34:53!
so the digital recorder or editors must be wrong because the band said it different, right?
Inglewood -though analog sourced- with even shorter intro, with cuts cause of tape/battery changing and without "Lupo"-outro is about 4min longer.
but that cant be true because they said so  hihi

I'd rather trust people who know than people who spend time timing bootlegs in seconds.

Mr "Mix up the setlist" is now Mr "but the time isn't right".

Never happy?

I much prefer this ear monitor mix over that I don't care about time one. I love hearing Axl's voice stand out like this and getting to hear what the band says between the songs. I am fucking loving this shit. Thank you.

Oh just to add something else. I like not hearing the audience so prevalent. This is so intimate. Really great!

Anyone else having problems with converting the flacs?
I cant decode shacklers, RQ, Nice Boys, Maddy, Better and Knockin for some reason. Downloaded them several times over again, but same problem and error.

Worked on that other link that you put up : )
But are these the same, or different conversions? I mean, can I just add those last 6, and put them together with the gnr2010 flac I already got, and they will be seamless when burnt on cd's?

Well, recapitulating:

- Axl Rose himself, plus other band members, said 12/19/09 is the longest show GNR has ever done

- '''''''''''''''''''''dBpowerAmp'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' (yes, a software), says the same.

But we still have some whining from our tied to the past friends, claiming ''maxxximum'' is longer.

Game over, haters  hihi

So after the FLAC/ MP3 discussion, now we have the Tokyo/ Inglewood duration discussion lol. Do you guys ever take a break from these discussions sometimes? Grin
