Too much money has gone into this album. If it is indeed coming out, it's coming out in Q4 to capitalize on Christmas sales, and that means between now and Dec. 24.

Bono why are you so sure about that date? from what the press release says I don't make out that subliminal message at all.. they are just saying that for now they won't make comments on the album release but still gives us hopes that it will be out this year.. the 13 tuesdays comment is just another way to put that it is coming this year.. but I bet it will be sooner that that..

they are just keping the release date for last, cuz they know that's exactly what people wants more... so they are keeping us on the borderline by not telling us.. they will blow it up in our faces when we less expect it.. coin that

the 13 tuesdays left in ?the year comment. Why even say 13 if they're gonna release it 8 weeks from now? I don't know Mayeb I'm wrong. Someone made a good point about the fact, why would they miss the holiday season to sell the album. Maybe I am jumping the gun. You guys are wrecking this I just know that if I planned on releasing it 7 weeks, 8 weeks or 12 weeks from now I wouldn't say "there's 13 Tuesdays left in the year". ?Boxing Day sia ?huge day for album sales as most store have buy 3 get 1 free type of deals on. A Boxing day release could really spike first week sales.

I don't believe the December 26th date, however that day(week) is HUGE for retail, especially in the last 10 years with the onslaught of gift cards being given as xmas gifts.  There is a nugget of brillance in an after xmas release date, however I am still sticking with Nov 14th

Typically the beginning of the week gets you the most media exposure. Old rule of thumb is that you always release BAD news on Friday/Saturday so that it gets lost and forgotten about in the news cycle by Monday. Guess whoever is running management missed class that day.

While this is true, it is still dwarfed by black Friday after Thanksgiving. There is no way the label would purposely plan to make sure the album isn't in stores for the 5-6 biggest shopping weeks of the year. Not even they are that stupid.
