The Hard Rock is saying that Gn'R is "scheduled" for 10 pm. But since that word isn't in Axl's vocabulary, I'm putting my money on 11. I'm gonna head to the Rainbow around 4 - 5, and I'll probbaly go into the show at 9, just to see Phantom Planet, since I've never seen them before. Even though I probably won't like them. I'm gonna "try" not get all fucked up before the show, so I'm good to go afterwards. I really wanna leave now, lol, but am gonna restrain myself. Rock N Roll!!!!

not me i live 1 state away. i love gnr but i know i buy alot of boots but at least them u can hear over and over. the concert ticket prices for that show or tomorrows show are way way to high in my opinion

Relax man, it was a joke!  If this was a normal band that you've been following for 15 years of tours and albums I might understand your stance on the money...but dude!  Axl's 44, ya never know when a tour will end, other bands charge way more, and it's not like we haven't had years and years to save some bucks. 

There is no band I'd rather see live than GNFNR.  If you're out west, this may be your last chance to see them.  I guess you could really get into watching a boot at home.  Screaming and pumping your fists, but I don't know, I'd rather be there feeling the energy of the performance and having the band feed off of the collective energy of the crowd.

Hey man,  I hope you get the chance!  When I think of the greatest days of my life, meeting my wife, watching my children be born, conceiving my children  ;D, getting married, seeing GNR in '92, '02, and '06 are all Top 10 material!!!  There is a kind of energy at GNR shows that's part mystery, anticipation, adrenaline rush, and fucking euphoria that's tough to put into words.  I hope for your sake they do a show or 2 in Texas.   :beer:  Rock on.   :peace:

1. i have bin fallowing gnr since 88 right after the ritz show.
2. i have bin collecting gnr is 91 -92 i have 1800 cd cdr dvdr gnr.
3. i just do not think prices are worth the joint costs i am sorry. out of that venue they are normal prices. i just can not aford really to go to high priced ?shows like the joint that is why i put my comment that way.

also if u knew me that joke was really really really bad. i have c.p. i am 75 percent blind so to me i love my bootlegs. to all u can put me down i really do not care no more but i love gnr and that is all that matters to me.

I noticed, after watching the NY gigs from May, Axl's hair has grown alot, during hammerstien his pony tail wiggled as he moved and by the Wembley gigs the dreads were alot heavier. Just an observation.

I heard they have Adler in a cage above the band and the only instrument he has is the cowbell for tonight. Supposedly, his highlight of the night where the spotlight is on him is the opening to nightrain.

From the pics it looks like they couldn't dit in their backdrop/giant screens normal set-up with the red beams on the sides. Any word on if that's true? Guess the venue was too small..then again they have been using pyro at least according to the set list we saw earlier.

I wonder if the merchandise has been updated for the U.S. tour or maybe just something special for this show.

I would think that they would have at least "generic" versions of the shirts that were sold in NYC and/or Europe....just without any specific town name on them. But SF and Vegas might even get their onw shirts.

Wonder what show had the most optionals thrown on during this tour since may. If I had to guess it was the very first show, with only Rocket Queen, Rhiad, and Think About You left off. Then again other shows had some other "optional songs" played like Used to love Her, Anything Goes, or some random cover like Sway or Back in the USSR.

Hell yeah... Fink is the man. ?I enjoy watching him improve.. he's starting to win me over and I used to be anti-fink. ?Fortus still owns.

But I think this setlist is a very good setlist for a GNR show, for people who like GNR but aren't hard core fans ;)

I think Axl wants the band to get all these songs down to the "T" and be able to bust them out whenever. I am sure in October we'll get 4-5 new additions to the set, with 4-5 of these songs being dropped.

Wouldn't these "warm-ups" be the time to throw in a "civil war" or "dead horse" or ANYTHING from spaghetti , just to see how they go over, instead of the same songs they have played hundreds of times?

It is pretty much the Rock AM Ring setlist. GnR are fairly predictable despite the claims that Axl keeps the band guessing.

This setlist satisfys 70% of the crowd, gives them all the classics with 5 tastes of new material.

Yeah, I believe there will still be negative press, but the good word will always find its way to the real music fans who dont give a fuck about the mainstream. Plus, you can't keep a good band down. I think this upcoming tour will be a great success... an even bigger one if Chinese Democracy or single is released during it. Axl Rose has his voice/swagger back and all the new musicians are doing a good job.

He knows that. He is saying we had an entire European tour without a mention of the album and there was still no mention at this Las Vegas show, but just because it's in America people are saying "CD starts now" when nothink much has changed.

people often tend to ignore the fact, that the tour in europe is as important as the tour in america.....

people even called it a warm up for the real deal in america....

I think people should chill out just a bit. ?I think the guy was simply saying "Chinese Democracy Starts NOW!!!" because he was excited. ?Guns played another gig. ?They haven't played in over a month. ?They played Rocket Queen. ?The man's excited. ?Give him a break. ?That's just my take on the situation. ?I don't think he meant that the European tour was unimportant and that tonight the real tour begins. ?Every show they play is important whether it's in New York, Alaska, Brazil, Antartica.

The setlist was fine, Im sure everyone who was there had a great time.  Im surprised to see songs like TWAT, CD, Madagascar and even Riyad as option songs.  I would definitely like to see TWAT and CD permanently in the setlist.

People still have to realize that the masses ONLY want to hear the classics.  I keep asking (or telling my friends) we're going to see GNR when they come around and they say ONLY if they play the classics.  I think sprinkling in 4-7 new songs is a perfect mix, for now.  When and if we ever get a release date for the album then maybe the #'s will increase but for now you've got to give the people what they want.

My review.........OK, you guys know the setlist and everything already, what a fuckin awesome show!! ?I met and partied with a lot of people from the board. The first guy I ran into was rw122 or something like that. He was just walkin down the street by himself drinkin a beer so we drank one with him. Then we went to the Rainbow. We were the first people there as it didn't open till 5, and we were there right at 5. After we were in the Rainbow for a bit, We ran into Budda_master and Bandita and a few other people I can't remember the names of. (sorry!!) ?Anyways, in total there was like 10 of us, half of which were from the board. We all decided to go to Buddas hotel and party there (too bad he had to leave town this morning) We stayed there and drank till like 9:30 I think then we made our way to the Hard Rock. ARight when we got in the Hard Rock, we noticed that the line was VERY long, screw that so we walked around. And Axl walked by!! So By this time we kinda lost everyone, we stayed and drank at the bar until everyone was in the show (we made it right up front right away anyways) And then Jungle kicked in, and the rest is history!! ?:) ?I should go back to bed, I need my energy for tonights show!!! ?

Okay...what a show, I have to say I have seen Guns many times but this was the best show I have seen from Axl, he sounded great, he looked good, his mood was good until the end when during Paradise City he went off stage and started bitching at Merck...I wasn';t sure what was up but it was 1am Vegas time and I was thinking they were probably being asked to end the show, Axl didn't seem ready to end it so he came back out to finish Paradise City and the confetti was pumped into the crowd just like you have seen from other shows...my favorite moment was Rocket Queen, Axl said it was Tommy's request as he had his arm around him, he kept saying Tommy wants to play a song...it's one of my all time fav tunes and I was fucking pumped and singing every lyrics...we were about 5 feet from the left side of the stage, Bumble was wearing an all red suit, the whole fucking show, can't imagine how hot that motherfucker was wearing that shit but he looked fucking cool, if you put horns on his head and he was playing a pitchfork he could easily passed for Satan at a Halloween party...Tommy was in a suit too...the band was so tight...more let me get some coffee...

does anyone else think that Ron might have been influenced by Robin to wear that red thing  :hihi:

i wanted rocket queen, i payed how much 180 + 90 = 170 on two gnr concerts and i didnt get rocket queen  :rant:

when i saw them at newcastle i wanted RQ more than anything and they were going to play it in the encore before some idiot threw things at Axl, they played it in the soundcheck at newcastle

how did you know they were goin to play it dude?sometimes the soundcheck is diffrent from what they actually play.

I think it was becuase he couldn't hear himeslf, he kept pointing to his ear, and then motioning to turn it down or something.
