Come on, no Indie at Leeds? Its like not having the Apple in apple pies....they are bound to have indie somewhere.
I seriously hope they dont and that all Indie bands would move to an island where no one can hear there voices but themselves and other indie - ans.
I say Hatebreed to headline Friday, Winnebago Deal to Headline Saturday and Slayer on the Sunday!
Now that would rule!!!

The Darkness are 99% for headlining, apparently. This was decided about three months ago. The White Stripes are definite as well. Not sure on ACDC

Do you mean headlining as in last act on - or dual headlining below a bigger act e.g. AC/DC?

Soeone told me today, that the third headliner is gonna be The Beastie Boys. Now, this is a rumour he heard, so probably isn't true (I hope it's not), but I thought I'd see what y'all thought about it.

Steven's drumming made the band; he made a big musical difference. His sense of swing was the push and pull that gave those songs their feel, afterwards, nothing worked.

Beasties would be great. Those guys have really grown musically. Their stuff was always top notch and amazing production, but it's even better now.

According to post on the
www.efestivals.co.uk

I would like to see the Hives. I didn't last tiime because I thought their singles were crap.
But on listening to their last album, they seem more punk n' roll than garage. I actually said before, that their last album is more punk than anything thats been accepted commercially for 20 years, and I stand by that.

Friday 27 August (Reading)
Saturday 28 August (Leeds):
The Darkness
The Offspring // Ash
The Hives
Saturday 28 August (Reading):
Sunday 29 August (Leeds):
The White Stripes
Morrissey // The Libertines
Franz Ferdinand
Sunday 29 August (Reading):
Friday 27 August (Leeds):
Green Day
50 Cent
Plus these acts will be playing over the six stages during the weekend (with more to be announced...):
Lost Prophets // The Streets
Confirmed by
www.bbc.couk/radio1
That sucks - the only band i want to see are The Darkness so far, and i still think them headlining is a bit to far up the lineup, second behind AC/DC or someone like that would have been better.

Morrisey is the lead singer of The Smiths apparently - who ive never heard, but there an 80's Indie band. Sounds like a crap act to me!

You've never heard of The Smiths?
Weird...
Meh, they were meh.
Q love them, I think. Not suprising.
I might just go up to boo 50 Cent and get stoned.
Plus, you didn't expect the headliners to be all that special at a Festival like this, did you?
I'm waiting for the bands who won't be playing on the main stage to be announced before I make any rash decisions, it could still rule.
But, I'm still considering Download...
