I've read a fair amount about Axl's family history, but I was curious, what did his stepfather do for a living?  For some reason I want to say janitor, but I'm not sure if that's correct.

I know he was an asshole, but I thought I read one time that he had a cleaning company, but I might be wrong about that.

I have researched a bit, not because of axl, but because one my uncles married a " rose'" whose father lived 12 years in the US.

But because of many reasons, and in case my research too me too far( i am a curious by nature), i will not talk about it here.

I have a bootleg of a show that they did in 93 in Hartford CT... During this show Axl says to the crowd

"I used to visit here as a kid... I have some reletives in Granby"

My father use to work with Axl's dad when he was going to Purdue.  It was in some factory in lafayette.   I'm not sure what he did, I'll have to ask my dad.  This was probably mid to early 70's.

GNR for fucking ever.

Speaking of Axls family....

I think Axl calls himself uncle not only because its been awhil ebut because he might actually be an uncle. He has a brother and a sister, im sure on of them if not both have a kid or a few kids. How fukin cool is it to have Axl Rose as your uncle.

Axl's biological father was murdered or killed.

AS i was doing research about my aunt's dad ( who is called Keith Rose and who lived in San francisco a long time) , i found out ( because of curiosity) that there were over 3500 William Rose in the US and all likely to be in age to be William Rose's biological father.

Thanks to social security records who are not protected in the US.

Now, there is a very interesting town in Michigan, where mayors for generations have been called William Rose and whose founder was a William Rose, Civil War Hero.

It's called Roseville.

Right on.  It just so happens that I am Axl's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.

Small world...

Rose AND bailey are very common surnames. They have migrated to Canada and australia a lot.
My aunt has her family who migrated to perth in australia. Seems like the whole Perth area was invaded by Roses over time.

The scotish Roses have lost their title recently because the last heir refused to take it. Their house has become English heritage. The scotish Baileys are related to scotish monarchy and i don't really know what  they are up to.

I don't know where the American Rose or Bailey come from, europe most likely, but Rose could also be Rosen, Rosenberg, Rosentahl Huh

Genealogy is not an easy task and not everyone is related, even bearing a same surname.

Personally, i know i have the surname Rose crossing my tree 6 times in 800 years. And i know i am NOT related to Axl at all and wouldn't pretend to be.

I find this hard to believe.  First of all, Axl is several years older than Amy.  This would put him in his early to mid twenties at that time and living in LA.  Second, if he did come to visit he would not have reffered to himself as "Bill".  He had long since legally changed his name to W Axl Rose because he despised his former name.
