The star-studded event will also include comedic performances by Jay Leno and Robin Williams. Courtney "was great [at rehearsal Friday] ? killed Iggy's 'Search And Destroy'!" CAMP FREDDY guitarist Billy Morrison (DOHENY, ex-THE CULT) writes in an online posting. "And Scott Weiland is also making his CAMP FREDDY debut with us [Saturday] ? and it was so much fun running through the songs with him [Friday]."
CAMP FREDDY is the Los Angeles-based "jam" band featuring Morrison, JANE'S ADDICTION guitarist Dave Navarro, former THE CULT touring bassist Billy Morrison (on guitar), ex-JANE'S ADDICTION drummer Stephen Perkins, and vocalist Donovan Leitch (the son of 1960s U.K. folk-rock icon Donovan).
CAMP FREDDY entered a Los Angeles studio in January to begin recording their all-star "covers" album for Sanctuary Records. A late 2004/early 2005 release is expected.
