I really wanna see the film about them.
The movie was very flawed.
Read "No One Here Gets Out Alive" instead. Much more rewarding.

Riders On The Storm- Very jazzy and mellow.
I love The Doors, they are huge in L.A., of course they are an L.A. band. You can see tributes to Jim all over the Westside of town.

Start with LA Woman & work back to the 1st album. ( LA Woman & Morrison Hotel are my favorites)

I love the Doors. Speaking of them, I like how Axl has a Jim Morrison look kind of going right now. Morrison set the trend for how to look and act like a rock star. He also had a great voice and wrote some entertaining songs for sure!

As long as you aren't concerned with little things like accuracy.

Stone sold his integrity inorder to use Doors music in the film. Pams parents hold the rights to the music via Pam via Jim. They wouldnt agree to let him use the music if he implied that she had anything to do with Jims death.

It was entertaining, but doesn't paing an accurate picture of Jim. Then again, how do you do that in 2 hours?
Stone had a handicap by not being able to do certain things with the movie due to outside forces ( family of Pam & Jim). IMO Pam had something to do with his death, albeit accidental, but was a factor nonetheless. Why no autopsy? She probrally gave him bad drugs inadvertantly.

If anyone is really interested on the subject check out this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Jim-Morrison-Life-Death-Legend/dp/B0007XWN78/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_b/104-7395712-2634358?ie=UTF8
A pretty good summary of Jims last days in Paris by people who met him and a few insiders who are starting to talk now. Of course the part surrounding the actual night he died in the hotel room is speculation, but the rest is a good read.

One of the best frontmen ever....Great band, can't stand what Robbie and Ray are doing with it now. I went to Paris a few years back and I went to his gravesite. My top 5 doors songs are:
1. Hyacinth House
2. LA Woman
3. Roadhouse Blues
4.Moonlight Drive
5. All the others songs....kidding....The Soft Parade
