I hate all pop music, which includes 95%+ of rock music, rnb, techno, mallcore, just about everything. 95% of all music is disposable anyway.

People who say they hate classical have absolutely no taste in music. I can understand hating country, but first get into the older stuff, and bluegrass. Most people who say they have country have not heard good country.

I find all rap / R&B to be boring monotonous shite.  Rap is a stupid beat with some twat talking about his whores and R & B is some slapper with a big arse making an unholy racket.

I'm not of fan of lads of other genres, like classical, but I can understand why people like them.  Rap makes me want to eat my own ears.

The new "rock" that's out these days 

It all sounds the same, boring melodies and riffs, derivative lyrics, all the singers have that same annoying tone that tries so hard to convey emotion but sounds so dull.  Terrible, boring music with no imagination or soul.  It's the way rock got in the late 80s and after the grunge explosion, where most of the bands sounded the same, except at least in the 80s  and the grunge era there were some great bands that stood out from the rest.  In this generation there are none that stand out

I thought most of the people here could see through the "corporate" state of music, since they all bitch and moan about bands like Good Charlotte, I figured that meant they KNEW there was better music out there, and they don't want to listen to what's being fed to them... but you're turning around and letting "J-Kwon" or "Chingy" represent rap music.?

There are CLEAR examples of rap artists who DON'T follow your "rules".? Fuck, honestly:? Outkast, Eminem, Kanye West, Jay-Z... probably the biggest names out there right now.? I could only find maybe 5 songs from all of their last albums combined that even remotely fit into your "rules".... and these are mainstream artists.... lord knows how many unknowns are rapping about something other than their bling.

All rock bands aren't teenagers complaining about their parents, and all rap artists aren't twats talking about their whores.

Ahhhhh, but there's that phrase again "I don't call it rap music, I call it crap music"... if you don't like it fine, but don't be close-minded and talk about it like you have a clue.
