Hey whats up I just got back from a Black Label Society at the Avalon, and Zakk Wylde told a couple of stories where he brought up guns. He talked about how a while back he was jamming in florida with GNR and Ozzy wanted a new guitarist so he said fuck sitting around with GNR and went out with him. He also said "Axl...I love the mother fucker to death, but he hasn't done a fuckin thing" or something like that. Then he talked about some guitar world convention and he brought up Slash and how much of a cool guy he was. Anyways, sick concert too.

Zakk Wylde - did a smart thing by going with Ozzy.  But, why was the concert "sick"?

That's just something the kids are saying these days. It means "cool".

Only the 2nd coolest old person can interpret today's slang.

Thanks.  Didn't know that.  I'm getting too old, I guess. (I'm WAY down on the list from being the 2nd coolest old person!, unlike Axl!)

- And, yeah, the Zack Wylde and Slash Voodoo Child video is great.  Worth checking out!

It's Voodoo Child. Voodoo Chile is another song.
It's really great to see two of the best guitar players out there, but I thought this performance was just a powerful mess. Sad

No, that Slash/Zakk show was really great, 'extremely powerful'.

Didn't Zakk get together with GnR when Slash was still around? I remember reading something where Axl talked a bit about it.

God, the two of them together on something like Jungle? Would have sounded like being run over by a tank!

In the article axl describes the sight  to the effect that they were like a cobra and a mongoose outstaring each other.

It's really great to see two of the best guitar players out there, but I thought this performance was just a powerful mess. Sad
