OK besides the old and new band who what musicians would you want Axl to front?

Mine would be:

Ace Frehley-Lead Guitar
Malcolm Young-Rhythm Guitar
Tommy Lee-Drums
Jason Newsted-Bass Guitar

I would say.....


vocals...Axl

Lead guitar....Kirk hammett (Metallica)

Rhythm gutitar...Johnny Ramone (Ramones)

Drums....Nick Mason (Pink Floyd)

Bass...Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)


It would be cool to see Axl work with the former memebers of STP....They have the Axl GnR type style and are great musicians.

No, not all of them are dead. Joey (vocals) died in 2001 of lymphomia. Dee Dee (bass) died in 2002 of an overdose. Johnny (guitar) is the one who most recently died, and he died of prostate cancer. The only original Ramone left is Tommy, who played drums. There is also Marky (drums) and CJ (bass). But anyway, my dream GNR would be:

Vocals: Henry Rollins (of Black Flag)
Guitar: Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine)
Guitar: Dave Navarro (of Jane's Addiction)
Bass: Flea (of Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Drums: Dave Grohl (of Nirvana)

even though none of these guys were in or are in GN'R, this line-up would kick all the line-ups ass since Adler left, since that was the best one they have ever had.  yes

Why should Axl front GN'R? I'd rather see the old GN'R (Slash, Duff, Izzy, Steven) with Sebastian Bach than Axl with other musicians. But if I had to choose a dream band for Axl (consiedring that he'll release albums and those great musicians won't be around for nothing), my band would be Axl, John Petrucci and Zakk Wylde on guitar, John Myung on bass and Mike Portnoy on drums.

The reason being is because matt is about 8000000000000 time better then steve but i think steve had much more of a personality

Everyone has right for their oppinion,  though, there  can be only one GNR band -

Lead Guitar - Slash
Bass - Duff Mckagan
Rhythm - Izzy - Gilby
Vocals - AXL
Drums - Matt Sorum
Keyboards?   Don't need a full time member.
One for the tour would be enough.    Axl plays piano anyway...

Any other wish line up would be -

Vocals - Kurt Cobain (everyone has to admit that not only Kurt sings better,   Kurt and Billy Corgan are one of the BEST text writers in the history of rock music and not only of our generation.   Kurt + Billy lyrics are much deeper than Axl's.
Axl lyrics were very often vicitms of homophobia,  women  and other sexula orientations.     GNR would've perhaps been the BIGGEST rock band ever had they not lost many,  many,  many fans by such crap.
How many of you here support racisam,   machoism or feminisam or homophobism?
If yes,  there is something wrong with every single of you who feels that way!?
