At lasy year's Ozzfest, a fued began between Sharon and Bruce Dickenson of Iron Maiden.  Got really childish, back at forth all summer long...point is, Maiden is represented by Sanctuary, and I doubt things have cooled between both sides

Definitely took away all respect I have for her. If I had gone on the X Factor, I would have sung an Iron Maiden song (and then changed the lyrics so they insulted Sharon in some way). That would have been AWESOME!!

Bruce Dickerson was making fun of Ozzy every night on stage calling him washed up and whatnot.

I don't care if Bruce says that about Ozzy or anyone else, but when your on a man's tour give him respect.

Maiden is a great band but the dudes are jealous as hell of any band who's had the type of sucuess in America such as Black Sabbath... unfourtunly Maiden never took off in the USA and Bruce feels they should have.. so now he's bitter against bands that have, such as Sabbath (who is a much better band to begin with...)

I know what Sharron did was wrong, but Bruce baited her to do it.  If he treated the Ozzman with respect and acted like a good little boy on the tour he wouldn't of found himself in the mess he did.

Maiden is huge here, I don't know about Philly, but you see more kids wearing Maiden shirts than Sabbath or Ozzy shirts.  Come on, to be honest, Dickinson wasn't the first person on earth to say those things about the Osbourne family

maiden is HUGE in the U.S.  back in the 80's all you saw were maiden t-shirts and patches everywhere. they were selling out stadiums and helped launch several metal bands. all with very little play on radio.

my guess is that gnr will not be involved with ozzfest.

still, it IS interesting that gnr's schedule coincides with the ozzfest dates. and the fact that they are announcing an additional mainstage band just a couple days before gnr's first show is interesting as well.
