I think Brad Pitt would be perfect. The guy could be Axl's twin brother. Also FUCK that no talent "Friend' Jennifer Aniston! Damn she's one ugly woman.

I think Orlando Bloom looks like the young Axl.  Don't know how he would look trying to pull off the Jesus look Axl had in '92.

I always tought that axl looks kinda like brad pitt, so I think brad will be perfect for the role of axl....

Jennifer Aniston might disagree...vehemently.

Axl- Avril Lavigne

Not sure if you were joking, Falcon, but I agree on the Avril Lavigne for Axl.  She's the closest thing to his AFD look--and that's somewhat scary.  Not many dudes can look as womanly as Axl did in those days...

Nope Hung, wasn't kidding.  That chick is a dead ringer for young Axl.

Two things I thought I'd never hear/read in my lifetime have been posted within this thread.

1. "Brad Pitt could be Axl's twin brother.'
2. Jennifer Anniston is "one ugly woman".

The apocalypse is officially upon us.

if a Gn'r movie is ever made it should be backed up with a sequel telling the Chinese Democracy and thereafter story........but I doubt it if it can ever go that far 'coz many critics would deride it as trash and those ppl who love to bash the gunners, especially Axl, would raise f hue and cry about all kinds of stuffs.....

A GNR movie, that would rock! A tale of betrayal, drugs and jack daniels

but would the film just be of the old members, cos if they take it to the present i could play buckethead - i mean how hard can it be to stand in one place with a pair of nun chucks.......j/k hihi

Johnny Depp should play Axl. He's a great actor, and he's especially good when he's playing a real person. When he was playing the drug dealer guy in Blow, he spent months with the guy in prison and got everyone of his actions down. Same thing for the undercover cop in Donnie Brasco - he also has high cheek bones and looks quite like him.  Or Adam Sandler, just cos he can do the voice.

De Niro as Duff. He put on like 50 pounds to play the older Jake La Motta, so i'm sure he wouldn't mind putting on 70 or 80 to play mid-nineties Duff.

Hugh Grant to play Slash - dunno why i just thing it would be funny.

Stifler should definetly play steven.

How about a comedy version, like "Spinal Tap", with current/former SNL cast members:

Axl: Adam Sandler
Slash: Tracy Morgan
Duff: Will Ferrell (LOVE to see this..)
Izzy: David Spade
Steven: Victoria Jackson

Generally, I'm against movies based on bands.  The Doors movie was horrible, and I don't think any actors in bad wigs will do justice to the band.

I'd much rather see a real documentary on GNR.  I know they have tons of video footage, backstage stuff that has probably never been seen.  I'd like to see something really comprehensive, great live footage from the beginning to the end of their live career, backstage antics, and commentary.

Although, as it stands I doubt they would ever agree to what would be put in there.  Maybe someday.
