Dunno if it's the right place for this topic cos it's both gnr related and off topic. So mods will decide.

If a Gn'r movie is about to done, who would you like to act on this movie? Please not Axl himself,Slash himself :

Axl: The first person can play him for me is Johnny Deep cos I saw him in Tom Petty clip years ago. From what I saw He can play Axl best. And he is a total rocker too. He is almost as charismatic as Axl. Also Brad Pitt with long hair and a beard.

Izzy: Sean Penn could be Izzy with a gnr style costume and behaivour.

Duff: Brendan Fraser would be cool Grin

These are the ones came up my mind.

Different choices and other actors? Cool

Axl- Yea Jonny Depp would be my choice too

Slash- Keifer Sutherland (Did it on SNL back awhile ago, so why not)

Buckethead- Howard Stern (too perfect a choice, admit it.)

Finck- Micheal Jackson (with a shaved head and shit.)

there's got to be a comming of age movie having something to do with waiting for chinese democracy pretty soon. its just a great subplot. Something like Almost famous, but with gnr

I always tought that axl looks kinda like brad pitt, so I think brad will be perfect for the role of axl.... and slash can be played by anyone, couse u don't see his face  Smiley

Not too many hollywood people have the Axl nose.  So I can't really think of someone.  If you want to play Axl, you have to have that button nose.

I think they were going to make a GNR movie but costs spiralled, the director decided half way through to go in a 'new direction' and the actors all hated each other.......i think it was scheduled for a 1997 release ok hihi

Yes Jarmo, Jim Carey did do a great impression of Axl...but if you're making a GNR movie it would kinda have to be like an Elvis Movie right...really skinny Axl and plumper, cross wearing hip hoop gear Axl...so you'd actually need two actors to play Axl right?

I have read in this months Sky magazine that there is a movie coming out called 'Welcome to the Jungle', does anyone know if this has any connection with Gnr?? I can think of a song that may fit on the soundtrack!

Sadly, if i recall the sage word of Jarmo the film in question is merely the name for the film in Europe (elsewhere in the world it has an entirely different title.) As a consequence (if i remembered correctly) there is no connection with GNR.

Im still waiting for the day that we see 'The Perfect Crime', the film about the UYI tour.  I would pay big money to see that film.  Hopefully one day it will come out of the GNR vaults......one day...
