I think people should stop bothering him since it's not a fan mail address.

Maybe we should stop posting his replies to various fans so that we don't get the same discussion every time....

We must remember that everyone on all the GNR internet forums combined is still only a very small fraction of Guns N Roses' fanbase. Some of us act like we are their only fans. Guess what..? We ain't that important. The internet could go down today and GNR would still have a huge fanbase across the world.

the press release arrived one day before the tour started or even the day the tour started.....   i`m not sure right now
Quote

That may explain why there were so many empty seats at some of the venues.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the idea of a concert was to play in front of people.    Of course, Merck didn't become GnR's Manager till 2004 so we can't lay the blame on him.

no. we`re talking about the press release for the mini tour in europe and asia in august 2002, not about the north american one. and as far as i know most of that shows were festivals anyway and the rest(docklands...) sold out ok

it`s not that easy to be a gnr fan without having the internet......

i guess there`re lots of people out there who like gnr`s music, but aren`t necessarily what i`d call "fans"

i`m not waiting for a tour announcement by the way..... i want an announcement about the album ok

Well, at least he gave you a response. I think this is cool, it keeps us guessing, although we've been guessing for the last 12 years.  Wink

Can someone PM me Axl`s E-Address, I want to ask him some things

Some of you might not even remember how the August 2002 tour was announced. Go find out before you continue whining, you might be surprised when you find out the date the press release arrived.

How are we any more of a fan than someone who just has the albums but doesn't surf the net...? What do we have that they don't...?

Probably bootlegs and demos of the new songs.

Not very important in the scheme of things.

Yeah, it's horrible since nothing they do will please a few of you.

You'll always find something to whine about.

i agree i think that merck isn't got the pr machine in motion, look at motley crue when they reformed for a tour last year, there were press conferences, interviews.....they were everywhere.

maybe the reason there hasn't been any pr is beacuse they are waitimg to see if the album is done.
i.e axl has a deadline and they are waiting to see if he meets it...

i personally don`t know if it`s bullshit or not....

there sould be enough so called "insiders" on this board to verify if this story is true or not by the way......

it doesn`t matter anyways.....  merck is axl`s employee, hence he does/tells us what axl wants him to do/tell us
