Great Fender Telecaster newsflash!!!

AS u know, american Fenders are the quality instruments...not the mexican and korean made models. for example, epiphone les paul is to gibson les paul, as korean fender telecaster is to american fender telecaster.

anyway, american standard strats cost aroun $1000 (US) and up. HOWEVER, here's the newflash:

For those of you interested in a real AMERICAN tele or strat, fender has introduced the Highway One Series. Basically, its the same guitar as the standard, with no finish on the guitar. so it looks very flat, like a matte paint. THAT IS the only difference. the finish....so if u nick it, its going to get scraped up pretty easily, b/c there is no protective coat...BUT ITS ONLY $629 (US) a real steal.

im a gibson les paul man. but i wanted a different sound, so i got the brownburst highway one american fender telecaster. its got a vintage feel, lighting fast neck...im sure the standard has some minor upgrades, very very minor!! this IS the standard, minus the finish.


(HOWEVER, I WILL SAY THE DELUXE TELECASTER ($1400) IS AMAZING LOOKING!!!)

Havent those been out for a while now? I remember looking at one about 4 months ago when I was shopping for a new guitar. I was considering buying it but I didn't like the Jumbo frets, I was really surrprised though with the sound it put out, $629 is a good price.

Highway One Strats and Teles has been around for a few years now. and they're really not a lot better than the Mexican models.

highway one are not the same as the standard. they sound and feel different. and i've played with a lot of mexicans that actually sounded better.
