This is the best metal film I've ever watched. It's factually very accurate (the Slipknot inclusion is annoying, but the interview was good and made good sense in the film) and the music selections are perfect for when they appear. It actually covers a lot of the underground metal scene, like death metal and black metal, while having enough mainstream perspectives to remain commercially valid. We've all heard the PMRC story, but this movie covers it without getting boring by using a great interview with Dee Snider and old footage from his speech.

This is the best film, no, best WAY to introduce someone to the genre. I highly recommend it.  peace

It's very good. I haven't recommended it before, since I only saw it recently. It's a great example of a well made, low budget, documentary film. It's much more professional and informative than stuff like Heavy Metal Parking Lot.  hihi

There was a positive review/interview with the makers in Terrorizer last month.  They gave the documentary 7.5/10 and the extras disc 8.5/10.  I think I'll get it tomorrow.  As Terrorizer say, a lot of people's perception of metal is Ozzy Osbourne like he is now, Lordi, that metal is just noise (that old chestnut), that metal fans are all satanic goths and it promotes suicide/murder.  So for these people to watch it would be quite helpful, maybe the BBC should put it on in place of Pamorama!

7.5/10 from Terrorizer is really good. They probably took 2 points off just for having Slipknot.  hihi

Yeah.  Terrorizer try to be really tr00 so 7.5 /10 is almost miraculous seeing as it contains Slayer!  hihi
