I have a questin for everyone. why do people want to collect every single show from GN'R?. Me personally, I love to collect songs from GN"R. But, I usually only collect new songs and rare stuff. I don't need 50 versions of the same song from every show. How many versions of "WTTJ" do you need? If it's not different in any way. why collect it? If you have "The blues" from March '06 why do you need "The blues" from Aug. '06? I'm not picking on anyone. i'm just curious.  ok

Personally, I don't try and get every one. I just look and try and find the best recording/the one like most overall

I have a few. And I try to collect the rare stuff. But I understand what you are sayin'. I don't need to see WTTJ from every show.

It's addicting.  I'm at over 300 GNR shows on CD and backed up on DVD and my PC... plus all demos, plus a few items that I believe to be exclusive to my collection  hihi

I'm holding onto a demo of Nightcrawler... I downloaded it back in the late 90's off of the GNRMP3Warehouse site when it was running and the link was there for only a few hours.  Apparently, only VERY few people have it and most oldschool Mp3's don't exist in people's collections anymore.  I just found mine on an old-old cdr and I extracted it to my pc and a cd for backup.  I'm waiting to trade it out for some other hard-to-get stuff that's out there before I share it.  Talking about having it in the forums helps to gain attention from potential traders...  beer  peace

**********

Each and every show from Guns n' Roses with Izzy is worth looking for. Example: listen to Welcome to the Jungle from the "3rd gig" bootleg (live in japan 1988) - it has an unique and amazing intro. Listen to jungle from Rio 1991 (second night) - axl fucked up the words and the song became... better! some boots are so good that they make you look for the next great one, yeah, you are always looking for another great one...

Interesting, so it's a demo with west arkeen and a drum machine? Well, "JAS" and TMTS" were not the greatest songs. Still , i'd love to have it. I hope you Share it after you get what you.  Grin

Months ago, at the Weezer forum, several fans put together a compilation entitled Project: Weezer. They gathered every available recording weezer had ever done, excluding officially released material (might have just been studio recordings, i dont quite remember). I think some people should get something like that together for GNR. Check out www.weerez.com to see more of what I mean. The audio section on that website is very organized chronilogically, and by different recording sessions, ect., and has every possibly available audio recording.

Everything is available as seperate files, but then you can also download "Project: Weezer" which is everything together.

I just did a vine for every GNR audio show from 1986-2006 (everything until 2006 and only completes for 2006).? Someone else should do the demos and I'd contribute Nightcrawler by the time it was ready to go... past that, someone else should do the vids.? That'd be quite a project though.

+1

Its just a hobby, and a good one at that.

Personally, I used to collect all bootlegs available, but over time I got annoyed by wasting money (through blank discs and postage) so I only collect the best recordings now (sbd's and very good audience recordings).

That's a good question.  I think I do it more for the challenge of trying to get them all.

I like listening to the concerts.. they are all different, and IMO the best ones are not the soundboard recordings or the ones that people usually call "the best ones". One day I like listening to the Skin n' Bones tour, next day I'm rocking with the first leg of the UYI-tour. It's just fun.
