metallica havent done a good album since the black album, adn they sold out with that one

why doesn't anyone seem to like load and reload, they were the 1st metallica albums i got into and i think those albums are great.
What is it that is so bad about those albums?, is it cos they aren't thrash?

I love the load albums. Well not a huge fan of Reload but Load is awesome.

Hetfield is an overall better singer than Mustain. Mustain aint to bad but Hets range is much more broard.

I love Megadeth, growing up I was a big Metallica fan. I would say Dave may never have gotten as good as Metallica did when they peaked with MOP and AJFA. However from 1990-present day Dave has destroyed them. Rust In Peace is amazing and in my opinion a hundred times better than the black album and if you compare the worst and best by both bands since then it's just not even close. Risk isn't nearly as horrible as St. Anger and load and reload aren't as good as countdown to extinction, cryptic writings, or United Abominations. I always liked Load a ton more than Reload too.

Never been entirely sure how Metallica have managed to outsell Megadeth 10 to 1 worldwide. Its fairly obvious Megadeth are the better band - i suppose it all goes to show what one awesome song 'Enter sandman' can do for a band, Megadeth havent had a song as cunningly mainstream as that - though they have many songs that are atleast as good....

What's also amazing is that every wannabe guitarist u meet learns to play atleast one Metallica song, even if they dont really like metal - they have become a cultural phenomenon and the 'must read text' of those learning guitar

even more bizarre when u consider its been 16 years since they released anything worthwhile and yet are more popular than ever.....

Glad I'm not a wannabe guitarist. I have yet to learn a single crappy Metallica song, but I've learnt several 'Deth songs. Megadeth rocks!

I saw them open for Heaven and Hell, and they were by far the best band of the night.

Ever since 1988 (after ...And Justice For All), Megadeth (Dave) has totally destroyed 'Tallica.
Now, I'm a huge fan of both bands, and I like all of their discographys (even Load/ReLoad and Risk), but since '88 Deth has been more creative, productive, and, in my oppinion, just plain better.

Both amazing bands, i listen more to metallica but i love megadeth too. Personally i prefer reload but thats because i love the songs fixxxer and where the wild things are.
