Chinese Democracy will arrive in 2007...

« Reply #60 on: October 05, 2006, 01:50:02 PM »

There's a rumored release date and already some or saying it's a bad day to release it?

Why am I not surprised?  Roll Eyes

This  sthe most interesting rumor in years, and still some need to point out how it's not the right date.....

/jarmo

I'm w/ jarmo on this one.. who cares what day it's released?!  I just can't believe it's actually TRUE this time, or at least it seems pretty sure this will be the release date..

Think about back in 2002:  Everyone was positive it was going to come out in November back then.. in fact, everyone thought it was going to come out last year in November.. I think November is a sure bet it will be released..

Seriously guys, I'm stoked right now!  It's hard to even think that it's less than 2mths until the release of the longest awaited album in HISTORY!!!!!!!

jay z...another one of those 'retired' rappers who are makling a comeback to sell even more albums then ever before. fact is; jay-z has an irritating voice and he's only in it for the money.

who the fuck is jay-z? rofl

Someone with no musical talent whatsoever.

WTF cares if his album is out the same day, not even in the same genre or class as GNR. ?Be happy people!

Quote
I don't think it really matters. As long as the album is GOOD I don't care how well it does, although I'm sure Axl does.

I get that, but there are a lot of positive aspects to being able to say that you had the #1 album in the country. Not to mention that there will be every bit as much media focus, if not more on the Jay album that week than GNRs.

OK, but you can look beyond that first week. The short-lived response has more buzz factor, but the long term goal is to have it stay strong on the charts. VR debuted at No. 1 for a brief period of time.  Let CD debut where it may and then climb the charts.  It will gain media focus in that way too.

Well, I don't exactly like Jay Zed, but you gotta have respect for someone who has sold that many albums worldwide etc.

CD starts now!....well, 47 days.

This is awesome... I hope it's true!

As for Jay-Z... Jay-Z is really good too IMO. The Blueprint and The Black Album are actually 2 of my favorite CDs... Anyways, right now I think Eminem is the only name that really rivals his in the rap/hip-hop community. Pretty much no one is going to outsell him... HOWEVER, I think GNR might be able to. I'm not saying I expect it, but I think it's possible. (Of course I'd buy CD first week, and Jay-Z's a week or 2 later)
