around the time Chinese Democracy is released?

Most bands do this around the time albums come out and it would be nice to hear Axl/the band's stories of recording and touring post 94.

I would personally love to hear Axl's account of the past 6 years and what exactly has been happening and the bands opinions on the new material and why it has take so long to appear. I'm sure it would not be a full on warts and all account, but the magazine would surely sell truck-loads!

there's not a studio big enough for all the current members, let alone all the people that used to work/play on the album.

I'm much more interested to hear what "ex-new" members have to say about the process, than what the current ones have to say.
Like a buckethead, dave navarro, zakk wyld, brian may interview?
would be cool to hear what duff has to say, and if there are some of his music on the album.

I'd like to hear what the guy who built the henhouse for buckethead has to say.

There will be so much written in magazines itl be stupid, it may be a good idea for axl to do one to set the record straight about the songs, the album etc etc..... who knows. He may just disappear!

Id like to see him do some kind of radio interview witht he band before the msg gig, that would be awesome. Possibly giving some info on a release date then! (keep dreaming bangit keep dreaming!)

I never thought of that, getting all the ex-new members would be a great read too, though i'm not too sure how much sense you would get from BH  Wink

He'll only do it with a major magazine that he trusts.

Rolling Stone would be the obvious choice.

If they do the interview it'll most likely be with Rolling Stone.  They're the only name big enough for an exclusive interview.  I'm wondering how much control Axl has over the current members of GNR regarding the media black-out.  I guess they've all signed confidentiality clauses with management that are hopefully gonna expire when the album comes out.  I wanna Robin interview.  The guy is fascinating.

i was wondering about this. it would be superb getting a RS interview of his side of events once CD has been released and the dust settles (if it ever will). I'd love to hear indepth of actually what happened in the studio, what happened with the leaks etc.
heres to the dream though right?

RS would be the most likely option...I think if Axl's to do any sort of magazine interview then it would be with them. They're alot more supportive than other magazines, although I'm sure there'd be a fair bit of ass-lickin' from certain other magazines....anything to get a good scoop!

I really doubt it.

Most likely, he just wants to record music, tour, and be left alone with the current GN'R, and just let the whole issue die.

And I for one, second that...

I won't so far as to say we "deserve" to hear Axl's story, but he would be foolish not to tell things in his own words.  If not, rumors will continue to run rampant and we'll never know the truth.  Axl's life, especially over the past 12 or so years is certainly one of the most mysterious, and an in depth interview would be amazing.

Axl's story needed to be heard... 5+ years ago.

Now... it's just a dead issue. It's time to move on.

Axl Rose is due for a big interview. He's an outspoken guy, very controversial yet cordial in interviews (like the "Lions" at Las Vegas' Hotel from the 1992 RS Interview). He made for arguably the greatest interviews of a musical figure in rock n' roll history.

It won't happen though till CD comes out & he explains how the record was concieved. This time, he needs to be less insecure about his past, as he was in the past, & explain happened to him & how he transcended those experiences. It could inspire his fanbase as much or more than CD.

Nah. I'd see RS or Playboy. PB would let him be more raw & uncensored.
