you're 100% correct about removing nick's fills on some songs. i think the album is great, but a few of those songs sounded much better live (before they entered the studio). so i was mildly disappointed.

there is a Silvertide concert (private show) on May 15 at the Troc in Philly. Just thought i'd mention since it sounds like you may be on the east coast then.

Tix are free, but i'm not sure how you get them.  i got one last time i saw them. my buddy said he applied on-line somewhere and they sent him a free one as well.

What in the world is going on with these guys???

No second album after the first....when they didn't even milk out their debut album like most bands do.  Weren't they supposed to be in the studio last winter?

I found some Nick Perri clips from his tourbus on youtube that were put online recently but who knows if they're recent.

Anyone know what's up?? Sandman??

they are in the studio NOW recording their 2nd album.. they just go out every once in awhile and do a couple gigs in the area...

it wasnt them who milked their debut.. their record company put them on the road for 2 years..

I haven't seen any, but people from Philly probably have a better idea if they exist.

Found new songs on youtube placed their 10 days ago.

They are just incredible live.

ive seen em twice live.. first in an arena opening for Motley Crue

and second in a club on the floor opening for shinedown Grin

it was soo cool. the singer was crowdsurfing during a song while singing at the same time..

they are a VERY good band.. they should be bigger. they are great musicains/performers..they should be in arenas headlining..

i haven't heard anything in a while. in may they played a show in philly - almost all new stuff. i figured we'd have had an album or announcement by the end of the year.

i don't know what they are up to though. i saw walt in a bar about a month ago and i heard people asking about their plans and the new album. he didn't give an answer and he seemed REALLY frustrated.

that, plus some of his comments in interviews, leads me to believe they have serious issues with their record label.

walt was so frustrated with the label a few years ago that he cut his hair just to piss them off. and it worked. i'm guessing things have gotten worse.

i found this on the silvertide message boards. it's an update from Walt...

HEY I KNOW THAT PEOPLE TALK AND MAKE SHIT UP BUT FOR THE SAKE OF WHATEVER HERE IT GOES....
THE BAND HAS NOT BROKEN UP. THE SECOND ALBUM HAS BEEN DONE FOR ALMOST TWO MONTHS. LABELS NEED TIME TO MAKE DECISIONS. THE ALBUM WILL BEGIN BEING MIXED AT THE END OF FEB. AFTER THAT IT WILL BE MASTERED WHICH TAKES SOME TIME AS WELL. I AM CREATING THE ALBUM ARTWORK AS WE SPEAK AND ONCE EVERYTHING IS FINISHED WE WILL TOUR PRETTY MUCH EVERYWHERE AS WE HAVE BEFORE.

I HOPE THAT THIS PUTS A FEW THINGS TO REST.

PEACE AND THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND WORDS.

This is great news, thanks sandman.

I was just thinking about this this morning, weird.

I read a couple months back on there on one post about how only Walt, Nick, and Brian were friends on myspace and how only Mark and Kevin were friends on theirs and it seemed a little third gradish.

It's going to be a great summer/fall of music!

D-Nuts - yeah, i saw that too. and there were all kinds of rumors about the band breaking up. and one of them posted some dirty laundry on Myspace - it seemed like there were some major creative differences. then Walt downplayed it in a post. like you said, very third gradish.

Walt also posted potential song titles from the new album....

(from http://www.silvertidemusic.com/host.htm)

This isn't set in stone or anything. A few of them could get tossed at the last minute if I don't think they are ready to be released but here it goes:

Album 2 tracking list (in no real order)

1. What Are You Made Of Huh

2. Someone who cares

3. The darker side of Love

4. Inside

5. Chosen One

6. Find My Way

7. Nothing to Offer

8. Head In The Clouds

9. Whipping Boy (I'm no decoy)

10. Never Gonna Find

11. Reaction

12. Ancient History

Peace,

-Walt Lafty.

P.S. I MAY END UP POSTING ALL THE LYRICS UP EARLY BEFORE THE ALBUM IS RELEASED SO KEEP AN EYE OUT IF YOU WANNA CHECK EM' OUT BEFORE HAND SO YOU CAN BE THE FIRST TO KNOW ALL THE WORDS AT THE SHOWS.

PEACE.

I really hope this band gets big or at least some more attention with the next album. There's some real talent going on and its a shame that they arent more well known. And needles to say im pretty stoaked that a new album and tour is on its way.

How many songs do they have on it? I remember getting pretty stoaked when their part in the movie came on and they did the little bit of "maggies farm" and it didnt sound half bad.
