unbelievable trade. i didn't think it would happen.

the pats are the HEAVY favorites to win it all in 2007. they were arguably the second best team in the NFL last year, and they have probably improved their team more than anyone in the offseason.

it's gonna be interesting to see Brady finally running the offense with great WRs.

This rumor has been in the works for months now and I never really gave it much credence, especially after the Pats signed Donte Stallworth.  But things really picked up steam yesterday.  The Raiders trading for WR Mike Williams, then trading with the Pats to get into the 3rd round and choosing another WR at the end of the 3rd.  It was clear Moss was on his way out.  And for just a 4th round pick, AND he's dramatically restructured his contract.  Couldn't ask for much more as a Pats fan.  Should be exciting, just icing on the cake.  They were already pretty stacked.

I knew someone would make this comparison. ?Randy Moss is in no way shape or form the same class as TO. ?Completely different. ?First off, Randy Moss is a BETTER WR. ?TO is a great talent but he drops WAY too many catchable balls. ?Secondly, TO is a true malcontent. ?Randy Moss' character issues are far overblown. ?He was basically held in check with the Vikings with Cris Carter as his mentor. ?Last year he basically quit on the Raiders, which is not a noble thing to do. ?But the Raiders had one of the WORST offenses EVER! ?Jerry Rice would've gotten frustrated playing for that team. ?I think everything will work out just fine.

IF for some reason it doesn't. ?They only gave up a 4th round pick. ?They were a Super Bowl contender without him, if he screws up they won't hesitate to cut him. ?He already restructured his contract, he was due to make almost 10 million next year, restructured it down to 3 mil. ?He wants to win, if he can't co-exist with Tom Brady he can't do it anywhere. ?Belichick has gotten players with questionable character issues in recent years and the guys have flourished (Bryan Cox, Rodney Harrison, Corey Dillon). ?I really don't see any problem here whatsoever. ?If there is, he's gone. ?Belichick didn't hesitate to cut Terry Glenn during their FIRST super bowl season when he didn't conform to the Patriot way. ?And if you look at the WR corps they had on that team you'd see that they could've clearly used him. ?Media far overblows Randy Moss as a problem. ?Everything will be just fine.
