Time to get serious in the middle of all the "say something about" and semi-political threads.

Time to discuss the dish called pizza!

What's the weirdest pizza you ever ate? Where can you get the best pizza? Your favorite toppings? Deep dish or thin crust? Recipes etc etc.

I still haven't managed to figure out why you can't seem to get a pepperoni pizza in Sweden......

It seems like you can get anything but pepperoni on your pizzas here. Peanuts, curry sauce, banana, lettuce, reindeer......

When I was in Lima,Peru I had the pleasure of tasting a 'Guinea Pig' pizza. It was pretty weird considering we have these creatures as pets in Australia but yummy nonetheless.

Spinach Pizza, which was pretty good.

Macaroni Pizza,  which tasted like rubber.

Besides that, I tend to go for normal pizzas with bacon, sausage, and pepperoni.

Thin crust...I don't like all that dough....

Now, frozen pizza....sucks no matter what kind it is

"Chain" Pizza (Pizza Hut, Dominos, ect....) ? ?sucks balls

Now, there is one place in Las Vegas here where i like to get Pizza..... It's called "Metro Pizza" ?Very good, a bit spendy, but good for delivery. The Rainbow has good pizza as well.

I like to make homeade pizza. I just make it with traditional toppings like pepperoni, hamburger, green peppers, ect.

BTW....NEVER order the Lobster Pizza from Red Lobster.......ewww

I disagree about the Dominos.  Dominos thin crust pizza is my fav!!!  But it's too expensive so I don't get it too often.  Undecided

I only like plain cheese or pepperoni.

Joe's (the one a few blocks from me, not the "famous" one) makes a good pepperoni pizza.  yes

Dominos is awful. I stay away from all the "fast food" pizza like Pizza Hut, Papa Johns etc.

If available to you, seek out the mom & pop places, preferably those who speak Italian. They know how to make good pizza.

If not, make it yourself. Get a Pizza pan with holes cut out of the bottom for proper air flow. Dont forget to grease the pan with olive oil before you put the dough on it or you'll have a hell of a time with it sticking to the pan. Get real pizza dough ( not that pillsbury shit), roll it out using a bit of flour so it doesnt stick to everything & shape it to the pan.  Then use a  good pizza sauce and  mozzerella along with a small amount of fontina cheese ( this adds some sharpness) then put on whatever toppings you want. I like to use fresh garlic which I cut with a razor blade as thin as possible and put it on before the cheese. Heat the oven to 500 degrees (F) and bake it for 15-20 minutes. That is how I do it anyway. It is better and cheaper than dominos, trust me.

I love pizza.  Cheesy

The best pizza I ever had was in Venice, plain and simple margarita but still so tasteful (maybe it's because I'd been starving all day).

The worst was in Rome: Tortellini pizza.
You can find any kind of pizza topings in Rome.
You do not have to try them all, thought (I didn't know it back then, I was mesmerized by the variety).  hihi

Dominos rules, so does Pizza Hut.

Pizza is a family affair in our household.  The kids help make the dough in our breadmaker.  We use milled flaxseed as a substitute for oil, and we use a healthier flour as well.  Personally, I'm a fan of the high-rise Sicilian crust.   drool  My 3 year old (almost 4) also takes some of the dough to make a smaller pizza for himself (it makes a lot of dough)

When it comes to store-bought, I love Pizza Hut pan pizza with sausage, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers.  Pizza Hut is deliciously greasy so it's a once or twice a year kinda pizza.  Super Bowl Sunday is one of those days.   love

So...best pizza?  My house!   yes   beer

My grandfather has a brick, woodfired oven in his backyard - the pizzas cooked in there taste mighty fine! Slighty burnt on the base with a chewy dough........The potato and garlic topping tastes goood!

PS. In Australia we have a hilarious show called Fat Pizza. The latest series involves the guys travelling around the world to find the best tasting Pizza - I think the ones from Naples hit the spot!

Thats coz our Pizzas are shit. Look at the big cheesey pizza in USA and look at ours. But There was a bloke in tamworth who owned Steve's Pizza. That was the best, he used kebab meat on it
