The Rolling Stones... AC/DC.... The Who.... Led Zeppelin..... Kiss... The Doors.... Pink Floyd

these bands started up 30 some odd years ago,? and we still listen and love em today,?

are there any bands that are "newer" that people will still rock out too in the year 2040?

heres my thoughts
Tool? ?<--? heavy metal pink floyd - stoners will love em in the future (imagine how crazy the weed's gonna be THEN!)
Korn? <---? they wont go away and IMO could tour on forever like AC/DC
The White Stripes? <--- simple rock n' roll in a time of overproduced crap,? they will show people that all you need is a guitar and a drum set to make rockin tunes,
Insane Clown Posse? <--- like the Velvet Underground, they wont be completly understood untill long after they're gone.
(thats right,? i compared ICP to the velvet underground- dont get your black rimmed glasses
checked out-? i said it)

that is all i can think of right now,? ?add who you think will stick around, argue if you think im wrong, or praise me cause im right.

buckcherry might get it too, they did pretty good over in america.

buckcherry-  good one,  they're on my list too now.

i never heard of Slough Feg-  so i looked them up just now....  and you never know....  back in the day Led Zeppelin and Kiss were considered the music of satan... imagine if a band like slipknot started up in 1966-  9 member band wearing masks covered in blood, screaming and yelling... the reaction of the crowd jumping and fighting,   Black Sabbath would look like The Monkeys compaired to those guys.    but now Marylin Manson and Slipknot are becoming more and more normal...  one day marylin manson will look like Clay Aiken compaired some crazy metal band from the future.

another one i think... for some strange reason ....   and i dont like it but...  The Spice Girls-   only 2 albums (for now-  reunion in the works i hear)  catchy songs... they were the biggest act in music for the couple of years they were around.

It wont be Buckcherry.

They're good, but will never reach superstar status.

now that i think about it you're right,   Buckcherry is off the list
exept that song about cocaine will live forever--   but some other band will do a cover and people will forget them.
