im on pills n so far im not impressed. wheres the rawness gone, wheres the "rock" music.

ithe only song so far i think it rock like VR should is she builds quick machines.

the other so called rockers sound like grunge crap.

I think Contraband had better ballads. Overall tho the more I listen to it I think I prefer Libertad.

i dont see how everyone loves it. ok a STP fan could, but gnr fans, i dont think so.

It has its fair share of rockers. If you're saying some of the verses could use some more guitars than I might agree with you, but overall I think it's an improvement from Contraband-which I enjoyed. When I first got Contraband I was disappointed it didn't sound more like GnR but I'm happy Libertad doesn't sound too much like Guns or STP.

Yeah, me to. It's less than 10 days and I have pre-order it so I'm not gonna ruin the moment when I put the new record in the CD player and say "I have heard this shit already"

example, the heavy riff in mary mary rocks, but it never continues long enough to get into, its a shame cause there are some great riffs.

I like this album more than Contraband. It's much more versatile and a nice listen.

Not completely blown away by it however, but it's a solid record which I think VR can be proud of.

Funny thing is, the song I like most is the extra song after Gravedancer 

Favorite songs so far:
- Get Out The Door (nice groovy song)
- Gravedancer + extra song (solid ballad with nice Slash guitar work towards the end, the bonus track is brilliant)
- Pills, Demons and Etc (I like how different it is, nice chorus)

damn gravedancer sounds soo like FTP in the start (i know i will be the only one who thinks that )

best songs in no particular order. LIR, the last fight, pills demons etc., american man, mary mary, just 16, gravedancer and "for a brother" i think.. after these songs in the top comes SBQM, she mine and "get out the door" (the hidden song is also among these)

before today i got the feeling that "the last fight" will get annoying after a while.. dunno if it's repetative or something



since there is threads about the "old" new songs should someone start a thread for each new new song so we can discuss each song for itself or no?

I?m just downloading it... I can?t wait to hear it! damn.. I thought I had to wait till 3rd July!  I?m just going to give my opinion on the album after I hear at least 3 times as our opinions keeps chanching as u listen to it... damn I?m so excited!

Me and my girlfriend both fell in love with Gravedancer, almost moreso than we are with eachother, its that scary good.  No i'm kidding, but it is amazing. 
Every song seems to grab your attention on first listen and then keeps you coming back for more. Then you discover more and more to love after every listen. That hidden track caught me off guard.
