This was on Sunday in Australia. The performance of Nov Rain with Elton John was number 3. I was amazed that MTV actually gave it such high recognition still. Needless to say I thought it should have been number 1. Never the less, GNR are still up there after all these years.

P Diddy was no.2 (the talentless fuckwit that he is)

Madonna was no.1

You caught me out. I cant remember. It wasn't Vogue, although that was up there. I think it was the Like a Prayer performance. I didnt really give a shit about anything other than guns. I think Enter Sandman was number 10.

There must be some talent involved in becoming as wealthy as he has. But yea, his music is pish.

i really loved that one as well... i think it's one of Axl and izzy's finest moments. and the song is great.

to bad izzy got suckepunched right afterwards by vince.

I don't really remember how the performance for NR was, but i have the idea that Axl's voice wasn't all that great back then... could be wrong though.

WttJ in 88 was awesome on the other hand...

Still, it's great to see Gn'r up in the top 3.

U may not like P. Diddy's music but his performances are usually pretty fuckin incredible. I am assuming the performance they are talkin about is his tribute to The Notorious BIG, the one where Sting came out and sang the chorus of Diddy's Police cover.
that was an awesome performance.

Nah it wasnt that one. It was a duet with somebody though. Another rapper. I didn't really pay much attention. I pretty much hate most rap music by guys like him. Compare them to musicians who can play and sing and they really dont seem worthy of any musical recognition in my book. 50 cent is the shining example. No brain, no talent, no ability. I will never understand how somebody could be compelled to by his records. There are a shit load of people who do though. But then again, the world is full of dumb-asses. No offence to anyone in particular intended.

Ok, not to get too much off topic here...

I personally think Diddy per se isint the most talented rapper around...hell I dont even rate him.

But he is one fine producer and has a ear for talent. He's brought us some of the biggest names in Rap during the 90's....including:

The Notorious BIG,

Mase and

Busta Rhymes.

...drawing paralles to Guns N' Roses, Diddy has always brought something fresh to the table in the world of Hip Hop.

Thats cool.  Smiley Although I prefer their first VMAs performance. WTTJ just broke the whole house.

This MTV performance was from 1992 - November Rain. Elton John joined in playing the piano with Axl. Quite an interesting snapshot of "the end days"..........

Slash is out of tune and Sorum comes in early with the "don't you think that you need someone" bit, so that Axl has to sing over him.........

Not exactly a happy time for Axl........though he did have the most amazing chalice sitting on top of his piano.......
