Now that I think of it, the solo could represent the mad insanity of a shootout / confrontation with the cops that sometimes happens in school shootings!

Don't know about that, but as I've said a few times, the Shackler's solo may be my favorite part of the album musically

Love the drums

Love the mean guitars in the rhythm section

Love the medieval battle chants

And Ron's solo is just crazy and off the wall on top of all that.  It's something you have to listen to a bunch of times to really get how cool it is

I think a listening to those links posted above may explain a lot. The split of the instruments/vocal is made to the video-game system to identify the notes / match them with the respective buttons. So, they condense the album song to only 4 different tracks (the relevant elements to that game). The mixing volume is also changed. With those "adaptation" some details of the album version are lost, others (like the bass) enhanced.

Main difference: you have only one guitar at a time on RB, alternating Ron, BH and Finck. On the album there are 3 guitars together almost all the time.
Vocals and some synths are altogether in one track.
I think drum and bass are intact, but just higher.
