Its not a silver back? Heck I can make those all day long here at home with my thermal printer I use on DVDs that I produce. Sounds like someone is scamming fans.

It's an acetate promo, ain't a scam.

i just got a copy, so it's correct that the back is blue colored and the front is kinda blocked printed?

i have 1 with cover (directly given to me by Universal) but also bought the radio promo....without cover etc..so that's why i want to know whether it's real or not since the quality of the disc and print is very low/bad.

i have 2 chinese democracy radio promo CD's...... one from U.S and one U.K.
they are both silvers with really bold good quality text.... can you provide pics if poss.
if the print is poor then its not looking good, but i guess thats why your asking. Im not too sure if the acetate is slighlty blue because i dont have one

It should be the US promo...but i have my doubts because of the poor quality.

The "CD Acetate" 

When mastering to CD the Recordable CD or CDR is used in a similar way to acetates, with the sound being checked from a CDR.

In the early days of the CD some dealers sold these CDRs for very high prices and referred to then as "CD Acetates". The CDs used genuinely in studio or pressing plant are just as rare as acetates, however the growing availability CD Recorders has made them very easy to duplicate of forge.
CDRs have also become so cheap that they are often used instead of promos, with hundreds being manufactured and distributed.
The term CD Acetate has not survived

i see what you mean about the blue tinting which is different to mine.......
the black text looks to be in blocks / pixelated....... rather than smoothed edges but that could just be the camera.
How does the text compare against your other one?  are there any numbers / codes in the middle near the hole
you could have the acetate which would account for the blue.... but i dont have one to compare with yours.

hey my Better promo is like that, like fine Dotmatrix printing, fuck if it is fake i paid quite a bit for it too, code 7D872c0245680, plus it came in a white protection sleeve, and housed in an Album sized case not single style

if you read the desciption it says that most U.S acetates are gold with a blue back... the one you have does have the gold cast to it with the blue back.

yeah i got that one too with the white sleeve, it even has tiny universal emblem in the center when you move it around

The codes are different, but mine is for a different single (better) just done in same style as Nightfalls, mine is more a greeny blue there is also another code 80 PG7622 outside of the frosted area

i think anythiggoes was refering to the standard promo cd and not the acetate
