And you're getting this from where?

Not saying it is legit or not but one of the reviews from a Canadian show said that GnR sold 100 million copies worldwide. http://www.rockstarweekly.com/content/view/1385/204/

So much for the detractors.

The album is now paid off, no more owned to Universal ( oh i know, i know shit, just a guess)

I guess this tour might start to pay the musicians rather than reimburse the costs ( i hope )

If greatest hits sold over 3 million copies Universal probably made their money back off that.  Just a guess.  I read it was released without any of the band's permission after it come out.

Well, if axl had wanted to do a release concerning chin dem, the greatest hits was typically a bad timing, overshadowing his project, don't you think ?

I thought the album was paid off the moment they inked the Best Buy deal.

Thank you Best Buy!  Without them, who knows how things would've unfolded.

I think Michael Jackson's Thriller has sold over 100 million, but that's the only one I know of.

Maybe the writer meant total (like all of their albums) album sales.  That would probably put Gn'R over 100 million.
